“Living in Plymouth, it was cheaper to buy the Bowland Blossom chippings from Doncaster than local. Delivery was good, right up to the back gate👍 Could have rinsed the chippings more, thought we'd been sent the wrong ones!! Good experience overall.😃”

Many thanks for your review Alan. I'm so pleased to hear you found our prices competitive and the delivery went well. All aggregates will have some quarry dust on them but it's just a case of hosing them once laid or allowing the rain to wash them clean.

Thanks for leaving us a review Stephen. Sorry to hear the driver didn't call ahead before delivery. We do always add a note to ask the driver to call customers before delivery.

“Supplied and delivered as described. Good price compared to our local Rivar who I would have used to minimise delivery distance but at +£100 wasn’t prepared to pay for the privilege. Cobbles were quite sandy - they will be fine once it’s rained a few times.”

“I bought some gravel which was expensive but very nice, rounded and matched the description on their website. They also delivered promptly. Watch out though, it's kerbside delivery. They put it on our garden which was nice of them but it hit our flower bed.”

Regarding delivery, we do state on the website and in the order confirmation that delivery will be kerbside. Sorry to hear your flower bed was damaged. One of the reasons we state a kerbside service is to avoid damage to customers property.

“Rocks for the rockery were excellent but we should not be left to dispose of the metal caged pallet left by Palletways.”

Thanks for your review Keith. I'm pleased to hear you were happy with the rockery stone received. Unfortunately pallet companies do not collect used pallets/cages and if they did it would impact the cost of goods and delivery. Many customers repurpose pallets to create garden furniture. People will also come and collect them if advertised on sites like Gumtree, Freecycle or Facebook. Hope this helps.

“Ordered over the phone rather than online, woman was very helpful, order arrived on time. Only other comment would be that the delivery is contracted out and the delivery company are not really set up for heavy loads, so they weren’t able to drop the load away from the curb as we have a gravel driveway.”

Thanks for taking some time to leave a review. I'm glad to hear the product and service was satisfactory. We do use a curbside delivery agent and tail-lift transport. The drivers will attempt to get the pallets as close to customers desired drop off point as possible but the pallet trucks do need a solid level surface in order to operate. We recommend putting down some plywood, if available, as the pallets can usually be dragged onto this, where there is a gravel surface.

“Good service but gravel suppliers are less so. First off mixed up delivery and second left me with a blue pallet I can't legally get rid of! Still waiting for advice as to what I should do with it!”

“All good with web site and comms after purchase. Price including delivery good and product is excellent (Scottish cobbles). Delivery agent (who I am guessing is nothing to do with decorative gardens) could have smiled and made a bit more of an effort...”
