“Bag of aggregate wasn’t enough, bought else ware as no one answered the phone to sort the shortfall I required. :( Would like your reply to this!”

Hi Stephen, thank you for your review. We're really sorry you had difficulty reaching us on the phone. The sales team is working very hard at the moment to answer all the calls that come through but there is often a call queue that sounds as if it's ringing out at present. The team can also be reached by email at enquiries@derbyaggs.com and we have a helpful gravel calculator on our website that calculates the amount of gravel needed to cover an area. Once again we're very sorry you had trouble reaching us and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused.

“Goods arrived damaged, (5bags leaking content. Courier took photos of damage. Left Chat on transportation chat site and was promised a call but still waiting. Decorative Aggs never answered the phone.”

“I ordered 50 bags of 40mm purple slate. The pallet arrives on time. 8 bags were badly ripped so as i lifted bags individually, stone fell to the floor and had to be tidied. Unnecessary waste of my time”

“I was happy with the stone size. But not happy with the creamy mud That covered the stones I had to jet Wash it all before I could lay it. Causing a great deal of mess and time consuming which at 71 could have done without. Certainly not as it looked on the web site and on TV Programs. Below is a picture the rubbish that came out .”

“The reason I'm not giving you a 5 star rating is because you delivered the bulk bags a day too soon without any notice so I was not present when the delivery turned up and was unloaded in a place not convenient for me, that said the slate chippings are of excellent quality and smartened up my garden and once given a hoseing down they look great.”

“2nd batch I have had but this time a large number of the bags were split, making the distribution round the garden tricky as several just burst open onto the grass. I managed but hence the 3 stars this time I'm, afraid”

“Hi, Your aggregate was as expected i was disappointed to return home to see it left in the road, i knew when ordering that delivery would be on a pallet but asked for it to be put on my drive. I am now having to move a ton of slate at least twice.. !! ( no joke in this heatwave )”

Hello Frances, thanks for your review. As we have advised on our website, all deliveries are kerb-side only using a tail-lift lorry. Unfortunately, not all drivers will move the goods onto the driveway as they are not insured to do so, which is out of our control sadly. Nevertheless, we hope you are pleased with your new stone.

Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Delivery dates can be found on the order and dispatch emails which are automatically provided once an order has been completed. We instruct our third party couriers to contact customers one hour ahead of delivery, however we do apologise if they failed to do so.

Unfortunately the UK haulage network is under a tremendous strain and some orders may be delayed by up to 2-3 working days or more, which we have advised on our website. “I had two 50 bag deliveries of Scottish Pebbles the first delivery had no issues, but the second delivery of 50 bags did, with several bags damaged making the job of lifting them difficult & resulted in Pebbles being spilled, which then had to be cleaned up.”

“transport was awful - first order driver was able to put on our driveway. second order the driver left half on the road and claimed he was not able to put precisely where the first order had went from the first driver. I appreciate that it is kerbside/pallet delivery, but at least use drivers that have the strength to move the pallet - this driver struggled to even get it off the truck.”

“The pebbles we got are lovely. But we had an issue with the delivery. The closest the lorry could come to drop them off was hundreds meters away from our house as the driveway around our house was not wide enough for the lorry.”

“Very good, arrived on time, messaged seller to ask if the delivery was on schedule but they never answered, tried phoning but no answer! Delivery did arrive on the day promised and driver was brilliant! Have given only 3 stars as the company need to either answer their phone or emails. Typical British companies.”
