The aggregate was delivered by an exceptional driver who, when the pallet buckled under its weight, manually helped unload the aggregate onto our site. Hero. Unfortunately it is definitely not the color we saw marketed online, being much more beige and muddy and decidedly less ‘Cotswold Gold like a National Trust’.

Product and service very good, but take note. Despite requesting bag to be lifted off truck with crane, which is as confirmed, upon arrival item was on a pallet and dropped on the road curb side. This created a lot of unplanned work and additional cost.

I ordered polar white pebbles 40 / 80mm. As you can aspect I thought they would be very white. Not the case. When they arrived they were very white but also covered in a white powder. Once they were laid and a down pour had removed the powder these pebbles are not polar white. I have to say I am a little disappointed with the results and not to my expectations. This outcome should be made very clear when ordering that this will happen. The powdering is a good camouflage. I will add that service and delivery are spot on

Product was fine and delivery was when they said, however, at checkout it was stated that delivery would be made by a truck with a crane which would have been perfect. In the end it was sent in a lorry and all the driver had was small fork-lift trolley that would not go over the gravel on our drive. Therefore the pallet had to be left taking up half of the footpath and representing a trip hazard. If delivery method had been accurate I would have selected a different date. The inaccurate information was frustrating and disappointing.

We ordered a bulk bag of 40mm plum coloured slate, which arrived on the agreed date, but was thickly covered in grey dust. My wife and I filtered and washed the slate one half-wheelbarrow load at a time, before laying it next to our grey sandstone path, hoping for a nice contrast. The slate is so far not living up to its colour, but we're hopeful that a good downpour might bring out the correct shade, although I'm not optimistic.

I have sent an email to say the stones were dropped off on my narrow road which was dangerous and at 73 no way i could move them myself.

Product arrived in time and no issue with delivery. However, the pebbles themselves were quite broken and some bags were half filled with dust. Also the prices have gone up by half, really not great value.

Hello, Thank you for your order and review. We do expect there to be a natural dust on the product which is produced during the processing of the material. This will rinse away and leave the product looking it's best. Our prices are very competitive and we work hard to maintain this fact. Ordered large pebbles, a lot of the pebbles were broken. Likely I ordered more than I needed. Also the pebbles were very dirty.

Hi Dan, Whilst every reasonable care is taken, there can be some broken stones in our product as when they are handled, they will be subject to several drops. If there are any cracks in the stone, these may break. The dust on the product is also a result of the processing and also the fact they are 100% natural stone and will rinse away in time with the rain or can be done so manually with a hosepipe or similar. Hi Peter, I am sorry to hear that part of your order was delayed. We rely on the hauliers passing this sort of information through to us so we may inform you but obviously, this has not happened. I was told the delivery would be between 8am and 6 pm and i would be given a 1hour slot by the driver at 1.55pm got a text message saying it would be between 3.05 pm and 4.05pm did not arrive until 4.30 pm i waiting in all day for my delivery which was loaded on to the wagon first which ment i was going to be the last delivery slot a text message saying it will be late afternoon would have been nice it's not rocket science just common sense

Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry that your order arrived 30 minutes after the advised ETA. Unfortunately, the delivery vehicles do sometimes get held up on deliveries or in traffic and whilst they do their best to communicate this delay that results, sometimes they prioritise the driving over the communication. Apologies once again and I hope you are pleased with the product.

Great price, speedy delivery, good pricing structure for delivery. Product good. Only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that the delivery was a bit tricky due to recent dropped kerb (4 weeks ago). The driver explained that the trolley wheels would sink. Luckily I have understanding neighbours who let me use their driveway but it involves a lot more heavy wheelbarrows and patience from neighbours which could have been easily avoided if the massive van/lorry, simply had a couple of boards to lay across pavements/driveways. Seems very sensible as lots could be in my position or simply have a driveway surface they wish to protect. Please consider it as essential for your delivery vans. It could make things a lot easier for driver and customers!!!

Delivery driver had an attitude with my wife, when she asked him to leave at back gate rather than front of house. Also a fair bit of wet sand in with stones, possibly adding to weight

Gods product delivered on time , over estimated amount we needed was 50% of the cost to return a bag .. Disappointed the return could be better

Unfortunately due to the nature of the product and collection/delivery procedures, returns fees are unavoidable. We would recommend using the gravel calculator on our site to ensure minimal wastage.

Easy website but poor comms on delivery. Booked for Friday to complete a job. Turned up on Monday. Apparently we have to accept that a 48hr (Working day) may occur. Poor service and they wanted to charge me £50 to cancel because the order had gone out. Complete rubbish. Deliver when you say you are or don’t have the option! Not rocket science

We do advise before placing the order that there can be an additional 2 working day delay on all orders. We recommend to order before needing the goods just incase of any delays as this is out of our control due to the 3rd party haulers.

The first delivery failed, as heating radiators where shipped on the pallet instead of gravel. Fortunately, I was in and the driver was very helpful. He waited until the gravel had been located, then returned to the depot and delivered later the same day. This time in a van with no tail lift. Fortunately, my house is near a building site, so we got the help of a fork lift driver and unloaded the pallet onto the drive. Unloading 50 bags of gravel by hand was not what I had planned.

Good ordering service and updates of when my order for white Spanish marble chippings would be delivered. On the downside there was quite a lot of yellow/orange clippings present within the 50 bags and for this reason I have scored them a 3.
