Not happy with unnecessary expenses involved due to lack of experience and poor handling of the mortgage process by the staff.

Th solicitor used was terrible and I was not informed of increased costs to my mortgage. Their fees kept changing and I was ripped off and this company didn’t pick up the errors

First time we used this company it was excellent, this time, following the approval in principle of our mortgage it was shocking. Trying to get hold of our contact was impossible, never answered the phone, was never available and to cap it all off we were lied to which caused so much stress. Communication was terrible. Then to cap it all off they took the money from my bank today and didn’t even have the courtesy to inform us it was happening. We will never use them again - pity because first time (2 years ago) it was very good.

Initially the service was good - I knew Anthony from his previous employment and he gave me options that we talked through. There were then some issues with the remortgage going through and I tried repeatedly to contact him and had no response. I finally called the office to be told he was gone - no notification / out of office / voice mail message to tell me. I was still getting spam text messages from ‘him’ however asking me to rate the service! Rebecca then took on my case and was very helpful but the entire process for a simple remortgage took months! To top it all off I have now been advised by Scottish Widows that I can’t make regular overpayments. I discussed this explicitly with Anthony as something I wanted to do, even asking in writing how to get this set up. I wondered why he kept ignoring this question then he finally responded after a number of chases by telling me it was something I would speak to the bank about after it was all done. So all in all a terrible experience. I was sold a mortgage that didn’t meet my requirements, charges weren’t made clear and communication was abismal. Yes I read all of the paperwork but the language isn’t always clear which I why I kept going back asking for clarification which quite frankly was presented in a way that didn’t present the whole picture.

Mis-informed about requiring SA302 when what had been provided to DDSF was fine. I spent a lot of time, while busy, trying to get hold of the "required SA302" when I could ill afford this time wasting. Incorrect literature from DDFS Timing as to when I would receive next correspondence was a week late Biggest issue was that I found out a day after I agreed to the work by DDFS that I could have undertaken the work myself in 5 minutes. I feel I have been conned paying £695 for saving me 5 minutes work. I think DDFS should either charge less (as this is what I paid 2 years ago for much more work involving another lender, conveyancer and surveyor - non of which was required this time) or tell me that this is a very simple product switch to allow me to consider my options properly.

Don't really know what to say.started ok at the being and as time when on it went worse ... different people dealing with my mortgage.. not really what I would expect from a company . Then today got a email to say that your fees have be taken out of my account when I have spoken to Melodie last week And advice her when payment will be made .... So asked for them to put the money back in to my account and will take 48 hour .... If there is a note on my file not to take payment .why has it been taken? Not happy at all

We had to make all the phone call to get our mortgage, we seam to do all the work. The email and texts they sent was old news as we all ready new, they was out of date by a couple of days. The only thing they done was sent our wage slips and where we lived off. Which cost us £798. Which we think is a lot of money for what they did. We would not recommend them to anybody .
