“Got me a good deal but didn't help to move it on, it was the longest remortgages I have ever been through, and they were not slow in wanting the fees paid”

“Deal Direct website explicitly states their fees are covered by the mortgage companies. Although my mortgage was a debt consolidation one, I was told it was more work, but at no time was the 1% fee every mentioned to me, until it was buried in a document. This goes against the FCA principle of "Treating the customer fairly". Other than that, the actual service was second to none.”

“Poor service,do not keep you informed about anything and it takes a long time if you want to remortgage. Would not recommend them”

“Very very slow to get a deal sorted out. Very good with communication As brokers they are in the hands of the lenders, who make it as difficult as possible. After 5 months of hurdles and delays, we lost the house that we had chosen.”

“Mortgage sorted fairly quickly but unfortunately my account was hacked and despite payment in full my credit score has gone down due to an outstanding loan with Dfs which they failed to update.”

“Agent was effective but conveyancing proved very delayed and solicitor got details wrong which led to prolonged problems again. In essence, the process was delayed. Not happy.”

“I have three negatives and one positive about the experience. Positive is they were efficient. Negatives are they shared my data with a third partly when asked not to, they sent copies of my personal details (passport, bank statements etc) unencrypted over the internet. (i know this because they accidentally sent them to me...) Enough information to make identity theft easy. And thirdly, costs seem to materialise from everywhere after the initial quote. So cost wise, even though they appeared good, they are more average.”
