“I recently visited Twycross Zoo and had a fairly mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the ticket prices were reasonable, making it an accessible option for a day out. It was nice to be able to get out, enjoy some fresh air, and spend time walking around the grounds.
However, I do feel that the overall experience did not fully justify the cost. A number of facilities, including shops, were closed during the visit, which limited the experience and convenience. In addition, several enclosures were under repair or construction, resulting in a reduced number of animals to see. This made parts of the zoo feel quite sparse and less engaging than expected.
While there is clear investment going into improvements, and the zoo has potential, the current state means it falls slightly short of expectations. I would consider returning in the future once more areas are open and fully operational, but for now, it was an average visit.”
“Very happy with my overall experience with this website. Easy to use, great price, lots of different experiences for the future will definitely be utilising again.”
“The rides were good but too much time was stood around waiting in queues. From 10.30 until 5.30, we only managed to get on 4 rides. One ride advertised a 50 minute wait, then changed it to ninety minutes whilst in the queue and ended up being 2 hours. I would argue that attendance should be restricted to prevent this. The parking at £15 on the day was expensive and arguably should be included in the ticket. Food at £15 per meal (for what you would pay £7-8 elsewhere) was excessive but we did expect that.”
“Very nice place, full of A variety animals, my wife, my son and I enjoyed a lot, he was very happy and run around all day, and also he enjoyed the soft play areas, everything was amazing a part the food, unfortunately the food was quite bit horrible, we tried the fresh fish and chips , and wasn't fresh but frozen and also the chips was horrible, they didn't give us even the tartar sauce.”
“The price is cheap and affordable, and you get a variety of discounts for stuff your kids will enjoy! It's a good way to help motivate them to love spending time with the family outside”
“Really easy to book my tickets to Chester Zoo and at a discounted price. Tickets came as QR codes to save and also via email so multiple methods of use. Very happy.”
“pay money just to receive ads basically. best deal you'll see is 10% off, which you could have got by just booking direct with the venue. waste of time and effort, not to mention the website is awful to use.”
“This website significantly cut costs for us, with multiple families and children of different ages. I always visit it for inspiration when we are stuck for ideas.
Massive amount of detail on the website, which I read out to the kids about the farm during our journey - they were bursting with excitement.”
