“We booked our Mother’s Day trip to Chester Zoo through Days Out With The Kids. The booking process itself was straightforward and we had a nice day out overall, despite the weather and a few empty enclosures.
However, I wanted to share a heads-up for other families: it rained heavily for about four hours during our visit (10am–2pm). I later found out that if you book directly through the Chester Zoo website, they offer a Rainy Day Guarantee that allows you to visit again for free if it rains for over three hours.
Unfortunately, because we booked through a third-party site like this one, we aren't eligible for that offer. It’s disappointing to miss out on that added value, so while the tickets worked fine, I’d recommend checking the official zoo site first if the forecast looks shaky!”
“I recently visited Twycross Zoo and had a fairly mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the ticket prices were reasonable, making it an accessible option for a day out. It was nice to be able to get out, enjoy some fresh air, and spend time walking around the grounds.
However, I do feel that the overall experience did not fully justify the cost. A number of facilities, including shops, were closed during the visit, which limited the experience and convenience. In addition, several enclosures were under repair or construction, resulting in a reduced number of animals to see. This made parts of the zoo feel quite sparse and less engaging than expected.
While there is clear investment going into improvements, and the zoo has potential, the current state means it falls slightly short of expectations. I would consider returning in the future once more areas are open and fully operational, but for now, it was an average visit.”
“Weather good facilities good the fact was the small amount of animals to actually see there were no big cats that we could find which was disappointing the penguins were great which the children
Enjoyed as was the butterfly enclosure. We had a good time but a little disappointed at the same time.”
“It is a good discount platform for outings with children, however it does not have many options where I live, I would like to see more options. You can get some of the discounts without subscribing directly on the places' website.”
“I had a free three-month trial that I hoped to use over the summer. I wasn't able to get any of the days out cheaper as the discount codes I wanted to use were unavailable or skipped to full price
However it was good for ideas for days out.”
