“First time using the site after receiving gift voucher. Site is good but I found it frustrating that not enough information was given about the bedrooms e.g, sq ft size of rooms and most importantly the size of the beds. This is supplied on all other sites I've booked through and for me can be a deciding factor.”

“Easy to use website with a wide selection of hotels available. Excellent deals, however the details of the deal were not clearly communicated to the hotel I stayed at, therefore I had to clarify the details with them myself.”

“I found the site easy to use. However some hotels appeared to be listed in the wrong area which was a little confusing. Also some of the coronavirus info was out of date on many hotels and many had no specific info pertaining to that particular hotel which was disappointing”

“Country Hotel breaks were great, in particular Helena was excellent - she was booking dining times for us last minute and kept us up to date on availability. It was an amazing deal they offered as well and we had a lovely break, so thank you!”

“The site was very easy to use - my only disappointment was when I contacted the hotel to book my meals as suggested in your email. The man answering the phone seemed quite irritated that I had called. He wasn’t rude but certainly hasn’t instilled me with any confidence for my visit. Not what I expected when I am spending £900 at his hotel especially during these times.”

I have contacted the hotel to establish what happened as the service you received is not acceptable and for this I must apologise. The matter has been investigated by one of the hotel managers however she is unsure who it was that answered the phone as the reception area is staffed by 3 ladies. She has assured me that her team would not behave in such a manner and is very sorry for the response you received when you called. I'm pleased to confirm that your dinner reservations have been made as requested and I do hope you have a very enjoyable stay. Kind regards Offpeakluxury

“Easy to use website, I think some tweaks to being able to filter by facilities, reviews, the offers (meal included or not, drinks, spa etc) or price would be an advantage and make the process quicker and easier to find the perfect place. Was a bit surprised you don’t send an email confirmation at all, as some people might not notice you don’t and then have no record of their purchase.”

Thank you for your review, and the constructive feedback, which we'll certainly consider incorporating into the site at the next update. We do send confirmation emails to all our customers, the majority of which are sent immediately after booking. Occasionally we may need to contact the hotel to check availability or to confirm special requests. Your confirmation was sent on the 26th July at 18:50, so we're unsure what's happened there. Rarely, some email providers can mark emails as spam, so it may be worth checking your spam folders. We have, however, sent you a duplication confirmation. “Spotted the break I wanted and called Country Break. Victoria answered my call and was really helpful as I had a lots of specific details which meant she had to call the hotel 3 times on my behalf, and got it all sorted.”

“A good site to book a wide range of quality hotels. Quite confusing prices when comparing the hotel booking system with Country Hotels. £100 difference on two nights.”

“We’re only at the stage of having secured a booking with CHB, and so far we found this an excellent resource for luxury breaks. However we objected to having to pay upfront for the hotel, only to discover we could have booked via the hotel itself or with other booking sites without paying until close to the time of arrival.”
