Zero empathy and zero help. Absolutely rubbish attitude and customer service. Hotel sent auto-cancellation email 3 days before date of stay and I thought this was for the room but hotel say this is for the restaurant only. Have checked the email since and nowhere does it state this is from the restaurant and just says the hotel name which is Hatton Court in Cotswolds. Despite pointing out that the email does not say it's from the restaurant, the hotel will do nothing and refer me to Cotswold. Yes you've guessed it Cotswold say they paid the hotel so they will not help and it's down to the hotel. Too late for me but take care when booking with Cotswold.

Hello I'm sorry to give a 1 star but my experience of your website booking was dreadful,after filling in the form to make my booking I put in my bank card details and waited the 10 seconds to be re directed and was told if nothing happened press the back button which also had a negative response everything froze I had know confirmation and now compromised my card details ,I couldn't contact you as it was out of office hours so had to worry untill the next day untill I spoke to a lady named Victoria who kindly sorted my booking out properly for me but besides this problem the website was ok,

Dear Mr King I'm sorry that you had difficulty placing a booking online, and that you found it necessary to leave us a one star review. Our websites are monitored round-the-clock for any technical issues, and we did not have any reports of issues at our end around the time you placed the order. Let me reassure you that we do not keep a copy of your card details, and they cannot be compromised in any way. I'm please however that Victoria was able to make the booking for you over the phone to your satisfaction, and that otherwise you found the website experience OK. I trust you have an enjoyable break. Beware of this offer. Increase their price when I wanted to booked my stay and also refused my refund.

Dear Ms Kesavan, I can't see that we have been contacted by you regarding using the voucher you requested as your stay had to be cancelled due to lockdown. You were emailed in November 2020 to be given the choice of a date change, a voucher for the same offer to be used later, or a full refund, and chose the voucher. The staff could not have been more helpful and found various hotels to suit my needs for a family break in February. However, it was not until I came to reserve that I was told I had two options. 1 to pay in full or 2 to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit. Neither of these options is acceptable at any time least of all in these times.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review, although I'm sorry that our payment terms were not acceptable to you. As our offers are specially negotiated at discounted prices we do take either full payment at the time of booking, or we offer a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking with the remainder due one month prior to the stay. I booked on line ( as you have to ) but never received a confirmation of our booking ( looked in spam and junk ) so we were left in limbo as to wether or not we had a booking! will turn up at the hotel tomorrow and hope for the best!!!!! Very poor, suspect covid 19 will be the reason. The questions on this survey are Bonkers! was the delivery on time? Ugg! who made the delivery Ugg! Was the item damaged Ugg! How many days did the delivery take? Ugg! Upload a photo? of what? who is writing this C++P?

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly I would like to point out that a booking can also be made by phone with our reservations team. I have taken a look at your booking and can see that confirmation was emailed to you on 28th August at 2:48pm. This was the day after it was made as it was necessary to ensure a dog friendly room had been allocated by the hotel. We contacted you again, 2 hours later, to confirm your dinner reservation. We were unaware that our communication had not been received. The questions you have referred to relate to a purchase rather than a service. When submitting a review for Cotswoldhotelbreaks you are asked for a rating out of 5, details of your experience and your name unless you wish to remain anonymous.
