“Having completed the form for insurance for the quote on confused.com I chose from the list who seemed to be offering good value. Once signed up, noted the wording on the policy did not provide sufficient cover for using the van and also made reference to needed to be garaged between 10pm - 6am to be covered despite us saying would be on our drive on the form. Called the insurer and did need amending. And then charged both an additional sum (£100) and a charge of £30 for changing the policy ( within 48hrs of making the application for insurance). Told it was I who completed wrong despite the fact the form has one answer selections - told I needed to complete business use and form allowed four options of which either commercial use or social and place of work were two of the choices. I needed both.
Watch out when completing these online forms - like us you may find your deal is not competitive and much more than you had signed up for”
