“It wasn't the lowest price from the comparison sites but was not far off and some of the reviews for the cheapest were terrible. My only gripe with the Confused.com website is that I have my driving licence for over 25 years and the Confused.com website did not have the option to add the month and year I passed my driving test. I could only enter 25 years plus.
When I went to the site of the actual insurance, they charged me more for giving the exact date of my driving test. I phoned the actual insurance company as this did not seem fair and they confirmed that if I needed to make a claim, they would not stop it because the exact date of my driving test was incorrect. If I wanted to add the exact date I could, but I would have to pay more. This was all very time consuming and if the Confused.com website would have had more options for date of passing driving test, I would have saved my time and the actual insurance company would have saved their operator's time.”

As we are a comparison website, we don’t calculate the prices you receive and these are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently.
