We are the original design manufacturers of the Vacmaster® & LawnMaster® range of high performance appliances for the home, garden and business.

Cleva was born in 2004 by two people who shared a vision to design and manufacture high performance industrial and domestic vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers at affordable prices. “Previously used a Bosch 40cm corded mower which cut the grass well but had the nuisance of the corde getting wrapped around bushed. Bosch cordless were too expensive so started the search. Main selling points with the Cleval mower were 1)Price (10% off for direct purchase), 2) Pulp function, 3)Rear roller (which helps stability at the lawn edges). My 3 small lawns total 70 Sq mtrs. Wasn't sure whether to go for 1 or 2 battery deal. As there is no up front price advantage in the 2 battery deal, I went for one and could always purchase a second if needed. Delivery was quick, assembly pretty straight forward with both written and pictorial instructions (not quite sure if 12 pages of "Safety Information" were necessary along with lots of "Warnings" on every page). First use was OK, it takes a couple of seconds to start after squeezing the trigger,which briefly was a bit disconcerting (I failed to read that bit in the instructions). I cut the grass on No.4 setting. Mower did stop a few times and I'm not sure why. The battery was still good (indicator lights). I disconneted the battery and islolater, re-instered and we're off again (happened a couple of times. There's a need to keep a failt firm grip the plastic handle otherwise the motor does falter. This can be a little hard on the hand so maybe wearing gloves or tape up the handle. Total mowing time was around 35 minutes and still a little left in the battery. Recharing time was quite good as well. Second cut at No2. not as precise as my old Bosch and the stripped effect was OK but not as bold due I suppose to the lightness of the machine. Still had the issue of machine stopping (just once this time), perhaps the isolater works it's way loose. Used the pulper this time, took a few seconds to fit it but worked fine. Much better than just leaving the collection box lid open and getting showered with grass. Overall, after4 or 5 uses, I'm quite happy with the mower, kept the Bosch (perhaps for the first cut next year?).”
