We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“Excellent chocolates, very tasty and so many different choices. The only negative is that the box sweet sections could be either a little larger to be able to get the chocolate sweet out or have a small strip on the sweet case to be able to lift out.”

We note your comment about getting the chocolates out of their sections but we do suggest on both the welcome card and menu that if you lift out the grid dividers, it makes it very easy to extract the chocolates. “I ordered 2 Easter eggs and a tube of Easter chocolates from your vegan range for my daughter and her partner for Easter,, the chocolate treats were delivered directly to their home. Though the eggs will be saved for Easter the tube of chocolates has been enjoyed already, my daughter reported back that it’s the best vegan chocolate they have tried to date, packaging is lovely and as we all like to do our bit for the environment the ocean egg was particularly special and looks amazing. The only negative point - but it’s not really negative was that being a big fan of dinosaurs, the dinosaur egg isn’t in the vegan range and my daughter would have loved it , at 26 she absolutely understands that you can’t have everything in all ranges 😊. I will definitely order from you again and am looking at hampers for my vegan and non vegan family. Thank you”

“Hi Chococo, For years I have been addicted to Green & Blacks 85%. I like the taste, but I am aware that it is part of a large industrial outfit and after hearing Shiela Dillon on Radio 4 Food Program I decided to shop around for a substitute from a smaller UK makers. I found you via Goodgle search and am getting quite fond of your Ugandan 80% drops. 2 after lunch. 2 after dinner! Drops makke it easy to administer. I intend to order more.”

Dear Julian, Many thanks for finding us and for taking the time to send us your review. if you are a fan of the darker chocolates, may I suggest that, whilst we are delighted that you are enjoying the 80% Uganda drops made with cocoa from the Bundibugyo region of Western Uganda, you give our 85% Madagascar 'Mega Dark' a try in the future? We offer it as an egg at Easter and a bauble at Christmas, but in a mini bar format year round. It has wonderfully intense yet vibrant red berry fruit notes, typical of Madagascar grand cru de Sambirano fine cocoa beans, with a long smooth finish - it's a very special 85% and is also a Raisetrade chocolate...it goes beyond Fairtrade as it is produced from tree to bar, for us to then work with, in its country of origin, thereby raising the value of their trade. “I didn't enjoy these at all, mostly pralines, and some of them i actually spat out into the bin! They didn't taste particularly of fresh ingredients, just your run of the mill chocolates, there was only one that I liked, oh dear! I won't be recommending or rebuying.”

Dear Christopher, We are sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with your Milk Chocolate Selection Box and we are also a bit confused as this selection is not mostly pralines! There is a wide selection within the box including fresh Dorset cream truffles, fresh Dorset cream ganache filled domes, crunchy honeycombe, hazelnut in a unique dark milk chocolate, sweet caramelised white chocolate with cocoa nibs and only a few pralines, of which only 2 are unflavoured in any way. We are very open about the flavours in this selection box which are all listed on the product page for this item, they are all freshly made and the fresh cream chocolates contain fresh ingredients by definition! “I purchased 2 of the orangutans for my kids to give their teachers at Easter. They have been studying the rainforests so it seemed appropriate! I love that buying them goes towards helping the orangutans too. They look great!”

“I ordered the giant salted caramel egg as a gift for my husband. I took it out to check it on arrival and there is a big hole in the egg. Obviously it got damaged on the journey. Disappointing given the cost.”

Dear Dee, We are very sorry to read that your egg was damaged in transit but we can sort it out with a replacement! All you had to do was call or email us to let us know, but I have informed Katharine our customer care manager now, so look out for an email from her to follow up with you. All our eggs leave us in perfect condition but we cannot control how carefully they are handled in transit, however well we wrap them. Dear Samuel, We are very sorry to hear that your eggs were broken in transit and that you haven't contacted us to let us know so we can send you replacements! I have alerted Katharine our Customer Care manager just now, so look out for an email from her. We are confident that our packaging is good enough to keep the eggs intact as we conducted postal tests before we launched the new packaging and since then have already sent out c5,000 Easter eggs this year and only a tiny number have been damaged. They leave us in perfect condition but sadly, we cannot control how they are handled in transit. Don't worry though, we have time to fix the problem for you before Easter. “Bought the non alcohol selection medium box as a gift. Wow, the selection was amazing. My mum was thrilled with the choice. I believe the ginger one was indeed her favourite, but she loved them all. I am hoping I am gifted a box soon!”
