About Chococo:

We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“We have loved the individual chocolates from Chococo - from Chococake in Wimborne and are disappointed that we cannot buy them from there anymore. We ordered some online chocolate which arrived well packaged and tasted fine. I was disappointed that the chocolate flakes I ordered for hot chocolate contained additional ingredients particularly sugar and didn't taste as good as expected based on the amazing chocolates.”

Thank you for your feedback, and we're so pleased that you love our chocolate. The hot chocolate flakes you bought were milk chocolate, which by its very nature contains milk solids and sugar for sweetness, as is the case for all milk chocolate. At 45% (min) cocoa solids, our milk chocolate has a very high cocoa content compared with most, and with 18% milk solids, the sugar content is therefore very low compared with most others, at only 37%.

“The salted caramel brownie was disgusting, then we found out you used sea salt in the ingredients. It was awful. I would ask for my money back but no point. £20 for it was a rip off. Never buy again”

We thought that by calling it our Dorset Sea Salt Caramel Brownie it might indicate some of the key ingredients, the clue is in the name. Sorry you found it disgusting though; if you'd got in touch we could have tried to put things right.

“Since I was small I have loved both chocolates and sea life. Thanks to Chococo I can eat AMAZING chocolates (the milk chocolate is probably the best I’ve eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of chocolate) and support programs that help the oceans. The ultimate win-win!”

“There were missing and incorrect items in my order, the customer service when reporting this was slow and there was no offer to replace the missing items. The delivery was also very slow.”

Sorry that it all went a bit pear-shaped! It's very difficult to resolve queries quickly when our phone calls aren't returned and if our emails fall into a spam box. We explained why you had an alternative item sent, explained that we couldn't replace the missing item as it was not in stock, and refunded you for it.

“Just loved the dinosaur and sea turtle eggs. Nicely surprised that the chocolate flavour was good and the chocolate itself of such a nice quality. These were given as family gifts and everyone loved them. Looking forward to choosing your chocolate again. PS. With two biologists in the family who have participated in turtle conservation in Greece your turtles that donated towards a turtle charity was a big hit. Many thanks. The dinosaur egg was a special request and how I found out about your business in the first place. Very creative and a good product. Looking forward to future designs.”

“Wonderful service. My only criticism would be, I was ordering for a present for my wife, and the box comes emblazoned with ‘Chococo’ on the outer packaging. She said to say that she “loved the chocolates””

We do let you know that our box is branded in our 'Chocs Away' email when your order is despatched so that you can get to the front door first if it is a surprise. There's always the option of delivering to a different address if you can't sneak them in at home.

“As this was a gift subscription I think you should improve your data capture so that the gift recipient receives the 'how was it?' and survey emails as they would be in a better position to answer.”

Thank you for your feedback. As you will appreciate, subscription orders can be experienced by one person (who purchases a subscription for themselves), or two people (when the subscription is purchased by one person as a gift for another). In the gifting instance, there's one person buying the subscription - they can review their experience of the ordering process on our website, the communications received about the order and perhaps our Customer Care team if there was any need to contact them. Hearing about this is as important as hearing about the chocolate experience. Then there's the gift recipient receiving and eating the chocolate - they can review their experience of the delivery, the packaging and the chocolate itself (the more physical elements). Sadly our system isn't sophisticated enough at the moment to recognise one from the other, so the review request is sent to the person placing the order, and we currently only have one email address field which is used by the person placing the order. We're only a small team here, we're doing our best :-)

“Ordered the Dino egg after seeing it recommended in Woman & Home magazine. Loved your unique Easter eggs and chocolate designs. Super impressed with the under the sea egg and also our dark chocolate vegan choices so nice to have that option. Service was great and a mix up with order soon sorted.
