“I'm very pleased with my purchase, it fitted it's description and is very good value for money. My only gripe is that I was told it would be delivered between 5pm and 7pm. It was in fact delivered at 4 pm where luckily my husband was in to receive it, but had he not I wonder whether they would have returned it saying no-one was in.”

“Very friendly service when placing my order on the phone. Was delivered on the day I was given. Although it was about an hour over the time slot, when I rang to check, the girl was able to tell me straight away where the delivery van was and how long it would be. excellent service. The 2 sideboards were packed very well in two enormous boxes which were carried in to a room of our choice. The sideboards were not as light a grey as the picture shown which was a disappointment but seem very solid with lots of storage so we kept them anyway.”

“We bought a shoe store. The first one arrived with a leg snapped off and the leg wasn’t attached by much in the first place. The breakage was probably an issue with delivery, but Chiltern Oak dealt with it speedily and were very understanding and apologetic and arranges collection and redelivery of a new one for two days later. The next one was in perfect condition and hasn’t shown any signs of being too flimsy (a concern I’d had after the first one). Really pleased with the service, product and value for money. Would definitely buy from them again.”

“Order was delivered within a few days, delivery driver texted with his name and and time of delivery, packaging was strong and secure so no damage to oak shelves in transit. Item was a seven shelf CD storage tower, looks lovely, only niggle is that it's advertised as cd storage but doesn't give any indication as to how many cd's it holds. I tried to calculate by measuring a section of cd's then dividing them into an approximation of shelf size by using the measurements given on the description, unfortunately I have about 10 cd's too many! An extra shelf would have been ideal.”

“Having bought two sideboards and a display top a few weeks ago and now adding three bookcases to the collection I feel that that is more than adequate testimony to my satisfaction with the items. Delivery excellent and white glove service well worth it especially as we live in an apartment block. 'Good' rather than very good is because I know that for twice the price I could get perhaps a superior quality but for the prices I have paid I actually think I have had excellent value.”

“The bookcase I purchased was good value for money, However I did not read the full description and so was slightly disappointed with the colour. I would not make that mistake again. It would not stop me from buying from Chiltern Oak Furniture again.”

“The furniture is great value. However when we unpacked one item we discovered a couple of small scratches.They are hardly noticeable. These were possibly due to the packing/ transport. I would hope that they do touch up paint just to cover these small areas as it would be a lot less hassle and cheaper than sending the item back.”

“This is a strongly built shoe bench with an attractive oak finished top. I bought it in the sale at a very good price for a pre assembled piece of furniture. It can be placed in the hall or bedroom depending on what it is used for. The only downside is that, it cannot take adult sized shoes above size 5/6. This was my fault as I realised the possibility of this being the case but I was so keen to buy one at the sale price and for its strong build. Each box will take three pairs of ladies shoes but no more than size 5/6. A very attractive piece of furniture which I am pleased with.”

“The fixed top, small oak table was well constructed and attractive. It was the same as in the photograph. The staff at Chiltern were great but the delivery was a hassle with DPD not turning up when arranged and changing arrangements at the last minute.”

“Ordered bedside table/drawers at sensible price for spare bedroom. Pleasantly surprised by finish although there is more non-oak wood in construction than other suppliers and more use of veneer as opposed to solid oak. Finish and workmanship very good and drawers slide smoothly. Will look at this company again if we need small items of bedroom furniture”

“Good solid well-made furniture, delivered promptly. Brilliant idea to send two choices of drawer knobs, better than having to decide before seeing the items in situ. One disappointment - I had two supposedly matching bedside tables, probably already boxed for delivery when they were picked in the dispatch department. In theory the wooden tops should match as they are the same wood, but in practice natural variation means one is much darker than the other. Not unbearable with two bedside cabinets which are separated by a bed, but if this applied to two adjacent furniture items it would be unacceptable. Maybe "Dispatch" could check contents before sending?”
