“Lovely quality dog beds. Both of our dogs adore them. Love the fact that the snuggle beds make it so much easier for our Whippets to cover themselves up. Really great customer service received with our purchase. I would really recommend Charley Chau.”

“I purchased an ID collar for my Romanian rescue terrier. The item was beautifully made and a gorgeous daffodil colour. It was actually a little too big for my girl, but I think I measured too generously. A friend shortened it for me. It looks lovely. Now I can actually spot Nellie in the woods! Thank you.”

“Website is easy to use and order from. The collars we bought for our Whippets were the size we had been looking for but had proved difficult to find elsewhere. Delivery time was as stated and the packaging was good. The collars are good quality and they fit very well. The eyelets are reinforced which was a bonus. My only concern was that the dye from the blue collar left a blue stain on the back of the neck of my pale coloured dog on the day of his “Spot on”. Next month when the medication is due again I will use an old collar.”

It's unfortunate that the collar was used the day that a spot on treatment was used, the chemicals are quite strong and as with any strong chemical we would advise avoiding contact with any material at the time of use. “Quick delivery. Amazing quality. The ducky donut bed is just lovely. Equally soft and supportive. We bought the large size which is perfect for three pugs to share. They have really been enjoying their new day bed; as if they needed any more reasons to lounge all day!. Very happy customers.”

“I ordered a Deeply Dishy bed and blanket for my border collie puppy and she loves both. They are good quality but in my opinion, over priced, so knocking a star off for that. I would still recommend but expected it to be more robust for the price as sometimes puppy falls out over sides and front of bed.”

“We invested in a snuggle bed for our whippet awhile ago, which he loves. We now purchased a double fleece blanket in red. The quality for both have been truly outstanding. Having bought it from another country, the delivery and the quality are worth it. We highly recommend buying from Charley Chau, It is worth it.”

Hello Patricia, I’m so sorry to see your three star review but glad that you are happy with the Snuggle Bed itself. We do still make a point of hand writing a thank you note to our customers so I am really sorry if your card was not put in with your parcel for some reason - this will simply have been human error. With regards to plastic packaging, I have sympathy with your view and agree it’s depressing. For a number of years now I’ve been looking for a supplier of compostable ‘plastic’ bags (like the green food waste bags that lots of councils provided for food waste recycling) but I have not been able to find a company that are willing to supply the specific bag sizes that we need in the quality and weight that is required to protect our beds in transit, and in the quantities that we use. Recently (the last 9 months or so) there has been an increase in the number of packaging manufacturers specialising in compostable packaging and the technology in the manufacture of these bags is evolving rapidly so I am hoping that this will change in the near future. The main problems are that: (I) we need bespoke size bags because almost all the bags we require to protect our beds are much larger than any regular size bags used by most retailers. (II) Charley Chau does not use enough bags for most manufacturers to be interested in making bespoke sizes bags for us - they want the big retailers who use hundred of thousands of bags each month. (III) Commonly available compostable bags have been quite lightweight to date, and not strong enough or reliable enough to use for packaging our beds for transit by courier. As I mentioned above, I have now made contact with a start-up packaging company who are specialising in compostable packaging. In our initial discussions, they’ve indicated to me that they can work to small minimum order quantities (bear in mind we’re not a John Lewis!) and they are sampling bags for Charley Chau at the moment - the bags are made from corn starch. One we have sampled we will need to test them in terms of being strong enough to protect our bags in transit - not just in a courier truck but when they are sorted at the huge distribution hubs where parcels are handled through mechanical conveyer belts etc and bashed around quite a bit by all manner of other parcels. So, it’s not a satisfactory situation but it is one I am trying to resolve - it does require the manufacturers to push forward and be willing to meet the needs of small businesses like Charley Chau and I am more hopeful now than I was 12 months ago that we will get there. Not satisfactory and I wish I could have solved this problem already but I am doing everything I can to make it happen. Best wishes, Christine

“Our two Italian Greyhounds love their snuggle beds. We have four of the CC snuggle beds. Our IG’s require separate beds and we have them in two rooms. These are high-quality products that stand up to dog wear-and-tear and regular washing. We have the linen weave and the teal velour. My one complaint is that the teal color is brighter than it shows in the pictures. These are worth the shipping price to the US!”
