“Super quality bed and the doggo likes it! The side bolsters are softer than I'd imagined though based on online photos (where they look firmer) and squash down with use...so not the aesthetic I wanted.”

“My Podenco finds his Charley Chau comfortable. I do think it is overpriced just a little, but the quality and the design are great. He loves to curl up in the corner, so great for podenco's, greyhounds and whippets.”

Hi Berra, Thank you for your feedback. It's always lovely to know one of our beds has been a hit with a dog! And I'm also extremely glad to know that you're happy with the design and quality of the Ducky Donut Bed you have purchased. I believe you chose the large Dark Grey bed with the full set of seven Waterproof Liners. I am sorry to read that you think the Ducky Donut Bed is overpriced. We understand that Charley Chau products are an investment. And we design our products to perform over time. We expect our beds to be used for years rather than having to be thrown away after few months use. This is why all our beds are designed so that they can be taken apart to be washed with spare covers available and why we have replacement mattresses/feather pads. All of which help to further extend the life of a Charley Chau bed. Best wishes, Jenny

“Excellent service; charming lady on the phone to help with my order i made a mistake with. Lovely to get the personalised postcard in the parcel. However, the bed itself is too fat. The dog can't easily get into because the cushion is too solidly packed. I don't quite know how we are going to sort this out to get her in it. Do you think it could be because of the liner making the filling compress or what else do you think it could be? I don't remember the previous one being so fat. I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts.”

Hi Fiona, This is rather unusual as we very rarely get comments about our mattresses being too well filled! I notice that you also ordered a Waterproof Bed Liner for the bed and although the fabric is breathable it does mean the air is released from the Liner a lot more slowly and so the mattress may feel like it is quite solid. The Liner can be unzipped by about 3cm and this will let the air escape from the Liner a lot more quickly and the mattress will feel less solid. “The Deeply dishy dog bed is a lovely, quality item… very plush, with a deep supportively soft cushion insert into the bed with low cushioned sides. The sides are not firm, so I thought they 'flopped' a bit. In the end I couldn’t keep the item because the crate in which I wanted to put it was only just too small. I could squeeze it in, but not the dog as well! There was no problem in returning it (at my own cost) and the price of the bed was refunded without quibble. Customer service very friendly and helpful.”

“Speedy delivery & quality product but not for my jackchi. Not enough gap between cushion base & cover for him to work out how to get in plus top of cushion quite high. Returning expensive but quick refund (excluding cost of returning)”

Hi Gillian, We're sorry the Snuggle Bed wasn't a hit with your dog. Some dogs need a little encouragement and training if they do not understand how a Snuggle Bed works whichh is why we recommend using a tasty treat to train them. Make sure your dog sees that you have a treat they really, really love and then place a small piece under the cover right at the front. Once the dog has retrieved the treat, place another one in a similar position. Repeat this a few times in a similar position and then start to move the treats further in. Dogs soon work out thay they can climb inside the Snuggle Bed. Although the cover looks snug on the mattress, the design of the Snuggle Bed means that the mattress flexes when a dog gets into the bed so that the height underneath increases making it very easy for a dog to get inside. Hello Melanie, Thank you so much for ordering with Charley Chau. Although the Weave fabrics are upholstery grade fabrics that are quite robust, they are loosely woven fabrics which can be pulled if dogs like to scrabble or dig at their beds. Some dogs will have little to no effect on the fabric while others will have more noticeable effects. Bests, Jenny

Hi Loraine, She may have you very well trained! If your girl still hasn't worked out how to get into the Snuggle Bed herself, try enticing her in using a favourite treat. Take a small piece of the treat, make sure she sees that you have it, and place it under the cover right at the front. If she retrieves it, place another piece under the cover in a similar position. Repeat this a few times and then start to move the treat further into the bed. She should work out quite quickly she can get in hereself. I hope this helps and happy snuggling! Bests, Jenny

“Quality is always exceptional. However postage is very expensive. I don't mind as I know the items will be worth it but I can only give 4 stars as I wish it was less.”

Hello, Thank you for your review and I'm glad you're happy with your Charley Chau products. With regards to the cost of the postage, we have two options available for our UK customers for regular-sized parcels that we charge at £7 for the standard two-day service or £8.50 for next day. Charley Chau is still a very small company with just three of us full-time at our HQ in Manchester plus two part-time team members who work remotely. As a small company, unfortunately, we do not have access to the discounted rates that national retailers are offered. We do not make money from the postage charges and have for many years part-subsidised the shipping costs ourselves. To give some context to the costs involved, just this year alone we have already been charged over £80,000 in courier fees. Hi Vanessa, Thank you for your review and I'm sorry to read that your dog isn't a fan of the Snuggle Bed. You could try encouraging him into the bed. Using a treat he really likes, making sure he sees you have it, place a small piece under the front of the cover for him to retrieve. Repeat this a few times and then start to move the treat further into the bed. He should figure our quite quickly he can climb inside. I have also checked your order and see that you ordered the small size. We see a lot a size variance amongst Miniature Dachshunds and most need the medium and not the small size. “Although I was told when I ordered the latest one it _certainly is much much smaller than the large, Partly because I think the top of the spotted cover is tight so the corners are folded up. They are very cozy.”

“Recently ordered a bedding set. Unfortunately, we were sent the incorrect bumper. No problem. Got in touch via email and everything was sorted in a prompt and friendly manner. The next day we received the correct bumper and the driver collect the one sent in error. The quality of the product is excellent and our new pup loves his new bedding. The handwritten note in both deliveries was a really nice and friendly touch too. Highly recommend.”

“Love Charley Chau beds and blankets, have purchased I think 5 beds and 4 blankets the last few years and all are still in great condition after being washed multiple times. Love that they have optional waterproof inside covers too. Customer service is great as well. The only teeny tiny thing that I feel would make it more luxurious is to change the packaging (I know this is down to cost) but it all comes wrapped in cheap plastic :-( When it arrives it just doesn’t feel like I’ve bought from a luxury company. They do however have a nice touch of adding a hand written post card inside which is lovely.”
