“This company was helpful and the communication was very good. The product that we ordered was as described and we are satisfied with it. However, Celtic Sustainables were let down by their delivery company/distribution network. The van that arrived contained our order only on a pallet. It was removed from the pallet in the van. The item was then unloaded from the van and carried through our gate, not by the delivery driver, but by someone who was doing some work for us. The driver then insisted on unloaded the pallet from his van and carrying this onto our property, taking a photograph of the item plus the pallet next to it and refused to take the pallet back with him, leaving us with the problem of getting rid of the pallet. The driver also informed us that this was part of the sales terms and conditions of Celtic Sustainables which I was unaable to verify on the website. I suggest if this is indeed part of the terms of delivery, please make it clear on ordering. If it is not, please advise your delivery network to remove the pallet. Whilst this may not be an issue for goods being delivered into commercial premises, it certainly is an issue for items delivered to domestic properties as no account is taken of the householder's abilities (or disabilities) to dispose of a pallet.”
