“Originally I received the wrong lights due to two digits in the item number being reversed. I called castle gate lights and they arranged for the incorrect lights to be collected the following day. They also said the new lights would be with me the following day but they did not arrive. In fairness they were being sent directly from the manufacturers and they arrived two days later. In my dealings with the company they did everything they could to sort the issue and I would use them again.”
“Ordered a light by DAR. We received a prompt service from Castlegate lights and were impressed choice of lights and the prices. The order arrived on time and well packaged. However when our electrician came to fix the light the ceiling hook plate was missing. Not the fault of Castlegate as the hook would have been packaged by DAR. Castlegate were very apologetic and with thanks to Elaine the hook was quickly sent out to us via courier. Shame about the missing hook but I would certainly use Castlegate again due to the excellent customer service.”

“My second purchase from Castlegate Lights. I was very impressed with the product quality, speed of delivery and excellent communication on my first purchase but the high standard was not maintained this time. Good communications ( I was informed of a lengthy delivery time and kept informed) but the product, while of good quality, was not as described in the on-line catalogue following a design modification by the manufacturer (chrome suspension rods had been replaced with electrical flex). I was politely offered a full refund but refused any price reduction. Having waited so long for the lights I decided to purchase chrome rods and pay my electrician to re-wire and fit them at a cost of £40. In view of the mis-description I feel that some compensation to help with my additional costs would have been appropriate.”

“Dar Barclay Bathroom Antique Brass. Quality of fitting fairly good. Single gromet in wall plate to allow wire access is offset therefore replacing 2 old lights with wires equi distant each side of mirror rather a fiddle. Also difficult to wire up into connectors if only short wires coming from wall. Very limited space to put in extension wire with another connector.”
