Customer service ? Mmmm! Great communication although tad slow, then numerous emails asking for car details cos mats were wrong, asking for all details would have been better and quicker so all mats were wrong had to send back at my expense plus a further charge for the swap ?? When I really should have been offered a refund and could have reordered at online price ?? Probably won't use this site again or recommend but thank you Jodie and one other (who saw I had the wrong mats)for your help regards Jim

Mat was bought for a BMW 440. It is far more PVC / rigid than mats I have previously bought and is quite inflexible. It fits the boot and does the job fine.

Hi Julian, I'm sorry to hear you're not happy with the PVC Boot Liner. The item is manufactured from an extremely durable PVC Plastic which will be fairly rigid. Once installed, the item will stand proud with it's high 2 inch lip, which is essential for trapping spillages etc. Rubber Boot Mats which are usually too flexible, can often allow spillages to tip into the boot floor area, thus damaging the original boot carpet. Great product competitively priced. Unfortunately the delivery time and severe lack of updates means only a 3 star review.

Hi Tommy, I'm sorry delivery took a little longer than usual. I have looked into this and I can see the order was processed on the 16th of October and was delivered on the 25th. Looking further into this, I see we passed this onto the courier within 48 hours of processing the order but the courier held this for a little longer than usual. We can't apologise enough for the delay. Our couriers on time delivery rate is 95% so thankfully small delays are rare. We hope you choose us again and if you do, we'll provide you with a free upgrade to express delivery. In regards to updates, we did provide you with your tracking information at the time of processing so all updates can be tracked using your unique tracking ID. Good product but unfortunately didn’t fit. The Volvo XC40 (23 model) does not have an adjustable boot level so the ‘lip’ on the cover which is designed to contain spills, actually prevents to boot from closing ! I simply cut off the lip along the rear section and everything is fine. No protection against spills though but it does its job well enough. I have bought boot covers from the company previously and this wouldn’t put me off using them again.

Hi David, Thank you for the feedback. I've looked into your order and I can see you ordered the variant which is designed for models without an Automatic boot. This would explain why your Boot Liner didn't fit correctly upon arrival. It's a shame that you have cut the Boot Liner rather than contacting us straight away. If you hadn't of cut the item, we could have exchanged it for the correct fitting item. As you have an automatic boot, the Boot Liner you need is slightly shorter, which allows for the boot to close correctly. Delivery was good but feel they would benefit from some packaging. The fit of the rubber mats is fine apart from the corners which curl up slightly. I thought they may flatten out after a while but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Quite pleased overall for the price paid.

I'm a little disappointed. Despite the product arriving within a few days I feel little care was taken over its delivery. I bought a boot liner with carpet insert. This "tailor made" product needed some adjustment to fit. It was tight in some corners and required slight trimming. Also I was expecting a more rubber-like product. This feels more like thick food packaging. It was folded over to make it fit in the box it was delivered in and this has caused creases in the edges of the boot liner. I'm hoping they will eventually come out but I think one crease is too heavy. The edge at the back where the tailgate opens looks unfinished and could be tidier. Also I think I will have to cut the boot recesses off as I now can't use the factory fitted dividers. It's a bit disappointing that I have to do this. The carpet insert is wafer thin but does look effective. I feel for the price paid it's not good value for money. Had I seen it in person for the price paid I would never have bought it. I've only kept it because I needed it to do a job a few days after arrival and sending it back would have taken too long. Oh well. Some you win, some you lose but I really don't think I can recommend this particular product for the price paid. Sorry

Good morning, I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied with our PVC Boot Liner Tray. In regards to the material, you have purchased a Plastic based product, which unfortunately, would be the reason why it's not more of Rubber feel. The PVC material however is incredibly durable, 100% odourless (unlike Rubber) and it's also chemical and oil resistant, which is exactly what you need within the boot interior. In regards to the folding, all Boot Liners have to be folded / rolled so they can be transported to you within the maximum dimensions in which the courier allows. The PVC material is flexible so it can be folded and rolled as per the description, without any risk of damage to the product. The Carpet insert is designed to provide an anti-slip surface and usually this is a big hit with our customers as it only costs £7.00. You should have not had to alter the tailoring of this product in any way as it's designed to fit your particular model. In cases such as this one, you should have contacted us immediately and we would have been more than happy to investigate, provide a resolution which may have resulted in exchanging this item for a different generation of your vehicle, or a Rubber based product which we also offer. Customer service was good, quick reply and fair response. Product doesn’t fit as promised, bends and folds at the top. Refund was only offered if I paid for return even though the product doesn’t fit

The courier contacted me stating they had my custom mats and then nothing else, so I had to contact Car Mars 4 U myself, only to be informed they had material out of stock, so they hadn’t even been made at that point? Personally, I would have preferred the company to contact me with this information and not down to me to contact them? Not good!

Listing for rubber boot mat explicitly says "no nasty smells" so it was a disappointment to have to leave the mat out for more than two weeks 'cause of the stink. To my untrained nose "nasty smell" and "natural smell of new rubber" are indistinguishable in spite of carmats4u's official line on the matter. Three weeks on, mat fits and is smart enough

Top marks for fitting as they do fit perfectly in the car giving it that luxury factory fresh feel. The smell when opening the package was something else entirely, quite horrid to be honest but thankfully seems to have dispersed enough now not to notice. Value for money? Not sure these are worth the £60 paid for them as they do just feel like foam that would wear away quite quickly. Design is as ordered and meets expectations. Overall fairly happy, the real test will be if they are still in one piece 6 months down the line

Boot liner for Lexus. Goods arrived after a little while. Plastics material and quite cheap. Would have preferred a rubber option at more money, as I had previously. Not expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, transaction was ok. Good comms.

The rubber mats I purchased fitted well but the strong smell of rubber has lasted weeks despite washing them in a perfumed detergent. Service was good.

Hi Mike, Our Rubber Car Mats are 100% natural Rubber so they will carry an odour for 2-3 weeks of use. This will die down over time. We do offer 100% odourless alternatives such as our EVA Car Mats if you are interested? Quicker than expected but slightly confusing delivery tracking. Couple of little quality issues with the mats e.g. untrimmed plastic that shouldn’t be there. No fixings pack included free of charge.

Delivery paid took awhile to come slow, Added VAt onto order (full price should be advertized in this day. Mats ok although Passenger side had no holes to fix to floor.
