“I purchased a set of the Toy Town carpets for my 2020 Skoda Karoq. Let's talk positives first: - Website is so easy to use, it's easy to find the right mat you're after and customise to your liking. - The carpets arrived quickly and safely after the order, I can't remember if it was next day or the day after but it was quick! I put the order in late at night. - the carpets fit well in all floor spaces, and the spacing is correct for the studs. - really bright and are a great talking point, and stand out against the Black carpet. Really brings back good childhood memories. Unfortunately, here are the negatives: - the carpets are very thin, causing them to fold and crease, or in the case of the rear ones, disappear crumpled under the seat. - the stud clips aren't strong enough to hold the mats down to the OM studs, causing them to unclip and slide everywhere, and potentially could cover my pedals! I have had to take the mat off and sort it later a couple of times now! - as the carpets are so thin, they are pulling away from the stud clips and are easy to push them out. - As with another commenter called Brandon, the orientation of the mats does seem strange: my front drivers one faces away, the passenger one faces to the nearside, and the two rears, which are from the same part of carpet face towards the back. I had been keeping carmats.co.uk on the radar for a few years now, even when I had my previous car (that having OM mats and the drivers was getting tatty), so when these toy town ones came up I thought I'd spent the £39.99 and buy some different mats that would be a talking point and brighten up the rather drab Karoq interior. To be quite honest, I'm rather disappointed and frustrated with the quality of the mats. Having previously bought £40 carpets from Halfords for previous cars, I'd thought that I'd be getting similar or even better quality carpets and I've got the opposite. I've never needed to use carpet tape to hold down any mats before, but this is what I am thinking of doing. I did even leave a comment on one of their Facebook ads talking about the issues but got no reply. What could be done to make these better? I'd suggest either rubber layer or texture to the bottom of the carpets to add adhesion to stop them from slipping and sliding, stiffen them up and hold themselves in the studs. Until then, I don't believe I will be recommending the products or using them again. :( Ps. Tried to upload photos but not getting any luck, they keep failing to upload. I can provide them if the company would like to respond.”
