the training was really good. however I purchased the starter kit and unfortunately I am unable to purchase disposable specula that fit the otoscope. also the kit had a metal noots - again unable to use this as i do not have an autoclave to clean it and have been advised that i should not be using this as disposable noots should be used unless the metal noots can be cleaned as per infection control and prevention guidelines.

Did stuggle initially due to this course being on Zoom and not Teams. Found the trainer to be good although felt that feedback on presentations should have been at the end of the session, not afer each individual presentation. Didnt realise that if you needed any of the presentation packs to deliver this course it was chargeable, feel that this should have been explained on the course, as some did enquire about the packs, as I assumed they would be free of charge.

I didn't think this course gave enough content around how to deliver a training course - with being a 'train a trainer' course - i did expect more

Improvements in training techniques. No feedback forms are to be completed by the attendees. Missed to-do moving and handling using a sling as manual practice using attendees.

Training advisor was very quiet when teaching the course. None of the equipment was charged up so couldn’t be shown how to use correctly in practical.

Did not feel all the content was appropriate for what we needed, particularly around rectal medication which we do not use

The trainer was very informative but due to an issue with the servicing of the hoist did not demonstrate how to use it or how to attach the sling to the hoist or the person you needed to hoist. I understand he may not of wanted us to use the hoist on each other which is how we have learnt before but I’m sure we could of been shown how to attach sling and where to put sling on someone you needed to hoist.

The course content was fine but could do with more information around the principles of moving and handling

Honestly, being a 7 hours training, I occupied a position that can allow me to sleep but unfortunately it was never what I thought. The trainer speaks so enthusiastically. I was much interested to no more. The class was so lively. I enjoyed every bit of it. Most importantly, I learned skills that will help discharge my duties whilst keeping my self and service user safe.

I learnt a fair amount and feel more confident in meeting my son's healthcare needs. I would have liked the trainer to give me more time to process information. I felt he moved on to the next topic before I had time to read the slides and take notes and process what he had said. I felt slightly uncomfortable about the stereotypical references the trainer made.

The information was mostly correct and the delivery was clear, however it was very drawn out and not enough practical, especially geared towards our holidaymaker's needs.
