“Been using CardYard for a couple of years now and never had any issues. Really happy with the customer service (although I've only had to use it once!), the interface is easy to use on desktop (mobile site isn't great but it's still useable), and it's always worth checking it out whenever I buy online or get given a gift card to somewhere I never go. I always rely on CardYard and I hope I can for years to come!”

I tried using the site on another iphone the other day and was surprised how poorly it implemented a few features; nothing like the simulator or the office iphone. Definitely room for improvement. “Sold 1 card so far (2 more pending) and overall the process has been great. While I cant attest to how the purchasing of cards goes, I do applaud this site for still showing the genuine bad reviews, even if they were lies, threats, or people being ignorant. their support was genuinely helpful the first time I used the site too. there are a few processes I wish could be improved and sped up, such as the payment of the seller, but I understand why they are the way they are and am just grateful there is a place to utilise gift cards that I was given without knowledge of my tastes. makes me feel slightly less rude.”

Thank you for your positive review which I really enjoyed reading. We don't have any control of the reviews so they stay on the site, good or bad. I'm glad you found the support team helpful. We've tried different processes the last 10 years, but the current one with 2 week quarantine works the best. It would be nicer to pay quicker, but this is the one that works. “Was skeptical at first. Despite the website feeling ‘old’ it is functional and does the job - I’d rather them have a cheap website and I get more cut of the gift card I am selling. Sold a £50 John Lewis gift card. Had to wait 2 weeks for the money, but the estimated date kept coming closer so I was happy. Yes they take a cut, but I exchanged it for ‘credit’ so I got a little more and purchased an Amazon voucher with it. With the 3% off the amazon voucher, I only had to fork out £1 for the complete transfer. The Amazon vouchers worked immediately. And I purchased £100-worth more with my own cash and had no problems. In the future if I purchase anything off of Amazon I will come here first given the 3% off. It just makes so much sense. The only thing I would say to improve is that the estimated payment date should be quicker - say check that the voucher has been redeemed (send the buyer an email to confirm) so people get paid quicker .”

Well done for overcoming your scepticism and seeing through your first sale, and for being smart and using the exchange feature. It's true the website design is 10 years old as we are into our second decade. Investment has gone into the back end and security features. We've tried different processes, but the 2 week quarantine works best. Even after a gift card is redeemed there can be issues as retailers claw back faulty cards so we have decided not to reduce quarantine periods for redeemed cards. “Always use cardyard as I frequently buy things from Amazon so may as well have the 3% off! Bought very frequently, only had a problem once (with the code not being valid) but this was sorted out in a timely way by Cardyards friendly staff”

“Another happy gift card purchase. My gift card arrived a couple of minutes after I paid for it. I shop in John Lewis all the time and to save an extra 5 or 7 % is very welcome. Not used this card yet but I'm sure it will work perfectly.”
