“Firstly I am genuinely amazed that they have asked me for a review, since I never received the item I ordered. This is not so much a critique of Cable Monkey as it is of their choice of courier, APC. I paid for next day delivery, and I was called into work the next day and would be unable to receive the parcel. APC claimed to attempt delivery, but clearly did not try any neighbours who were home at the time. It was a Friday, and I accepted that I would not get it until Monday. I arranged redelivery through their app. I arranged for the item to be left at a "Parcelly" office at an off license on Portland Road, near where I live. No problem, I would collect it myself the next day. I didn't get any feedback about redilvery from APC, until I called Cable Monkey on Tuesday, now five days since I had made the order. Cable Monkey contacted APC, who then arranged redelivery the next day, Wednesday. APC then text saying it was coming Wednesday, and they would text me when ready. Then at 4:30pm, they texted saying that they could not deliver the item. TO THE LOCATION THEIR APP HAD RECOMMENDED. An open, off-license that they had recommended. Not to my home. I called Cable Monkey again, and asked for a refund. I told them I did not want to order through Amazon, but the actions of their choice of courier have forced my hand. I placed my order through Amazon for next day. APC again texted me on Thursday, that they would attempt delivery again. This time, they were successful, and left it at the location. I did not collect it, as the Amazon delivery had arrived faster, and genuinely next day. APC texted me again on Friday, reminding me that the items I had asked for a refund for, were still waiting at the off-license. Cable Monkey, you will not get my business as long as APC is your courier of choice, and I strongly recommend any other potential clients do the same.”

“Waited 8 days for delivery, granted on their cost saver delivery service which costs 4 quid (this is actually a premium price for delivery, people ain’t daft). Ended up ordering with Amazon as couldn’t wait any longer.”

“I had a bad experience with the items I bought. The twisted pair cables not fit into the RJ45 ends supplied despite they were CAT6A and I made sure of it. The diameter of the cable was thick. To make matters worse the cable has a different pin arrangement to the normal standard. I emailed support they sent me a video which was difficult to see the pin out, the video was low quality and camera unfocused. I asked for more clarification and you sent me a standard pin out diagram. The standard pin out does not work on this jr45 end supplied. In the end I bought a new set via Amazon and they worked straight away perfectly on the standard pin out diagram and more importantly I could fit the twist pair cables into the RJ45 connector with ease. I think perhaps the ones you supplied were designed for CAT6 thinner pairs as opposed to CAT6A which can be thicker in diameter.”

“First I did a huge basket and then couldn't check out, so had to phone and place the order. Then half of the delivery arrived at the billing address instead of the shipping address. Then the half that did go to the right address had wrong items, and duplicate items. After that I gave up.”

“Expected consistent made to order cables not random cables with different thickness, one was a cat6 cable and another was 3m not 4m!!! All in dirty dusty bags and the grey cable was more an awful off-white, won't be using again!!!”

“Don't waste money on next day delivery. So I have ordered an item before 4pm which is the cut off for next day delivery, paid extra for next day delivery and the courier have failed to process the item within their network. When asked for a refund for the expedited delivery costs I was told they don't offer refunds for this. Really silly considering I paid for a service and don't get the service therefore refund me for....that service.”
