“I purchased pre-terminated fibreoptics cable from Cable Monkey at great expense to give to my builders to pull through conduit. This was a great mistake as the way the product is supplied it can only be pulled though large data conduits and builders are used to power cables (which use much smaller conduits). If you need fibreoptics get an installer to come and work out exactly what is needed before any work is started, even if your builders claim they have done it all before. And don't buy the cable yourself! Only experts should buy it as they will know what needs to be done. There are no warnings on the website so I would suggest consumers beware before buying anything.”

“I purchased a length of pre terminated fibre optic cable to connect my house to a garage 90m away. The cable arrived on a very sturdy drum with well engineered ends bonded to the cable which made it straightforward to pull through a long underground duct using existing draw rope. I'm just an amateur but accomplished this with 1 helper. I completed the install with media convertors at each end and the link is working perfectly.”
