“Ordering is easy but trying to get information of when a delivery will be is non existent are you supposed to wait in for the up to ten days that is stated when you order am looking round for other company's that can offer a better service”

Hi, thank you for your review and i am sorry you are not happy with our delivery service. I noticed that your order actually took 6 days to deliver and not the 10 you mention. You are correct that our terms state "UP TO 10 days" it also is dependent on the area that you live and the viability however 99% of our deliveries are delivered in less than 10 days. We also do offer an express service if you are concerned about delivery time scales and you call always call us. I would like to mention that we always email when your order is ready to dispatch, we also send a text message informing you and the day before delivery you are called and given a more accurate timescale. If you require an urgent delivery (this is also mentioned in the terms) then we do have this option however the value of your order was £55 and an express delivery would have cost as nearly as much as the goods value. Hopefully you will consider using us again in the future but please do call if you would like more information on a delivery

“Very good advice from very friendly and knowledgeable Staff. The Polycarbonatsheets, corner and edgeing strips are attractive, good quality and easy to fit and made a brilliant shower-wall solution.My opinion is that the result is somewhere in the region of 1,000 percent better than tiles. easy to fit, no grouted joints to go mouldy and crack and really easy to keep clean. All in all great service, product and value. Keep up the good work. Thanks, John”

“I purchased the Onduvilla tile strips and ridges for the roof of the Timber Store I am building (for review purposes I think these classify as "Corrugated sheets"). Delivery was pretty quick and I was impressed by the friendly and helpful nature of the delivery driver, who even phoned me in the garden when I didn't hear the doorbell ring! Top marks to C&A for service. As regards the product itself, my feelings are a little more mixed. The strips themselves look to be very good quality and do look great when fitted. However, I was not at all impressed by the fixing nails as the plastic heads have a tendency to "blow through", even when using a wooden block to protect them from direct contact with the hammer. I have seen fixings where the plastic cap clips on after the nail is secured and in my opinion those would be a far better alternative. I am also a little dubious about the ridge pieces, as they introduce a gap into the arrangement which I'm concerned could cause issues in strong winds: that remains to be seen though. One other niggle is that the ridge pieces are shorter than the tile strips. Since my long, narrow Timber Store is exactly one strip wide I have had to use two ridge pieces instead of one, which is both more expensive and somewhat ugly in appearance. Admittedly this is a rather unique situation as most structures will be a lot wider, but if the ridges were produced in two sizes (one tile width and a half tile width) then the system would be a lot more flexible in my opinion.”

“I purchased polycarbonate sheets of various sizes and type also corrugated sheets with fittings. All arrived on time and as per order and no damage. Excellent product and the sales team were very helpful when I ordered, the delivery driver worked exceptionally hard when we unloaded the order. Definitely use C & A again.”

“I find C&A Building Plastics very easy to work with, the phone is always answered very quickly by friendly and knowledgeable staff, orders are processed quickly and paperwork sent out straight away, delivery is always on time, all in all a very nice way to work knowing we don't need to worry about items not arriving or wrong items being delivered and holding up our build process Paul (Applecross Homes)”

“Ordered poly carb multiwal sheets plus accessories. Ordering process was good but that was not the case for the delivery information. Being told that it will be delivered sometime this week but the driver will contact you sometime the day before is not good enough these days. Also to be told that if you are not in it will be another week before another delivery can be made.We should at least have a day confirmed a few days in advance and a 4 hour window confirmed before 18: the day before delivery.”

Hi I am glad you found the order processing easy for our quality 9 wall 16mm Lexan sheets (as apposed to 3 wall offered by competitors). We deliver on our own vehicles that are racked specifically for our products and so are handled with more care than carriers, and many carriers refuse to even accept the large items due to the logistical problems they pose. We also try to offer the lowest possible cost by running transport as efficiently as possible. This involves the long distance delivery drivers being on the road for several days and we can not predict the traffic on every road or foresee accidents / road closures and hence our drivers normally give notice. This also allows additional up to date local knowledge to be passed to the driver. This system has developed over many years and satisfies the most requirements of most clients. Some customers do find that the date of delivery is critical and we are able to offer a dedicated day delivery, however this does involve dedicating a vehicle and driver to achieve this and is by quotation only as it will then reflect the true economic cost of achieving this and not our basic delivery charge. I hope this has helped enlighten you on the process and why it has evolved over the 47 years to this point. We take your comments on board of what you desire, however at this time achieving it at these prices for these quality materials is not yet viable. If on you next order you would like a quote for a specific day delivery please talk to one of us on 01634 37 4444 and we can assess the logistics for the materials to be ordered and quote you the price to achieve this. “Second time of ordering from c&a, what an improvement. Technology and all the associated equipment is first class. If you follow the video you can't go wrong. Only awkward bit was getting those damn clips that hold the sheet down to engage. Company rep very helpful, advising you if he thinks you have missed something. I think delivery cost and delivery time very good. Good discount, and of course a sexy pair of gloves.!! All up looks great no leaks yet!!!”

“I purchased facia boards and the associated items (corners, pins etc.) and was very impressed with the service. I wanted the boards for two applications, one white, the other black. One of your assistants checked to ensure I had not made a mistake as ordering two colours might look odd. I was also asked if i needed any corners or joiners as I had not specified anything. It is good that you're checking these things. I also like the quality of your facia boards, even the capping ones are more substantial than others I have seen. Although as a DIYer I would not need your products that often you are my first port of call and I have recommended you to my mother-in-law's next door neighbour as the facia boards I fitted there this afternoon finish at his boundary and he may purchase some from you. He was impressed with the quality.”
