“I'm in the trade, and grow my own wildflowers. I ordered over £1,300 worth of plug plants for varieties I needed in a hurry. They were superb quality. Not an empty cell in sight, and at least one strong seedling per cell. Delivered promptly and in really healthy condition. I use Boston Seeds a lot and have only ever had one problem which they sorted within 20 minutes of me raising it. Great business.”
“Quite disappointed in the standard of seed I purchased from you. Seeded the lawn over 2 weeks ago and none of it has germinated yet, have had better from a supermarket. Thought it was a premium seed.”
Hi Sam,
Many thanks for your time in leaving us a review.
I have looked into your order and can see that this was for the Quality Hardwearing lawn seed.
At this time of year, the ground temperature is cooler than ideal for the seeds to germinate, so they will always take a bit longer.
I would advise giving it another couple of weeks, and I hope by then you will see signs of germination.
We would not suggest watering at this time of year, as we are getting regular rainfall and dew in the morning and evenings.
Each time you manually water the area, you are bringing the soil temperature down and therefore hindering the germination process.
If this has still not been established, please get back in contact with me with some photos of the area, and I will be happy to advise further.
Best wishes, Jenna
