Amazing holiday yet again. Thoroughly enjoyed Vaujany for the second year running. Cannot fault the hospitality, felt like a home from home. Staff went out of their way to ensure we were looked after and as before a personal touch. James took our son down the slopes on a mountain bike experience, going above and beyond what we would expect. An added bonus was the chance to see the Tour De France this year! An amazing holiday and would definitely recommend. Thanks again!!!

Really good hotel and grounds, there is enough space/seating for many more people than are here.Staff are good, equipment is ok.The wind conditions here are challenging though, gusts and changing direction, so being an intermediate windsurf and sailor and 68 years young meant it was too tough most of the week.Shame as everything else was good

We had a great week sailing in Lixouri Bay on Sandpiper (Bavaria 37) in August 26 with our family and two kids - 12 and 9. The protected bay is a beautiful, fun and a safe place to learn to sail with plenty of wind and space for a week’s learning to sail. The BB crew are very professional, experienced and accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic experience and holiday - that you learn a lot, safety is paramount and you enjoy yourselves. Shout out to Will who was our awesome instructor, and Shirley and Alastair too. There are lots of beaches and nice restaurants in the area and the day off at the beach club is a welcome rest and chance to sail the dinghies, which is a whole other type of fun! We achieved our ICC and would like to do the flotilla with BB in the future. Highly recommend.

Just returned from our second trip to Venus beach/stira bay with my mum (81!) husband and children (9 and 6) and we’re already planning our third trip for next year. Everyone - the Greek hotel staff, taverna and bar, and the BB team - are so friendly, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. A special group of people. I love the fact it’s a greek hotel and you’re on holiday with Greeks as well as fellow tourists. No kids club (which we prefer) but a few sessions throughout the week for kids or teens to do if they want. Very easy to make friends and also very chilled - no enforced socialising or shouty activities! Relaxed vibe while also being efficient and well organised and safe. All the BB team are great teachers, my 9 yr old learnt to sail and was out on his own after a few days, and my husband and I massively improved our windsurfing and we had a go at wing too. Can’t wait to return, thank you everyone!

Fantastic holiday, our 4th with Beyond Beach. The BB team fantastic, a special touch that they organised a birthday cake for our son. Great activities, fantastic location and we were very well looked after by the Lazaratos family. Another lovely touch this year were the pictures taken by Bella.

Amazing location and staff. The beyond beach staff are so friendly and knowledgeable - the activities are varied and great. The bay is so shallow and safe for children. The turtle spotting in the bay is great fun too, especially when they pop up next to your boat/paddleboard. Perfect for age 9 upwards I would say. Hotel is owned and run by a local family and you are made to feel so welcome. The food is also very, very good. We did loads of sailing and were challenged in a fun, safe environment.

We've just returned from two weeks in Kefalonia, one at the Beach Club and one on the Introduction to Sailng course. Both were outstanding. At the Beach Club the Lazaratos family were so welcoming and friendly, and the Beyond Beach Active crew were super-helpful and friendly. They seemed to be having the time of their lives and that was really infectious. Once on the yachts, our instructor Barry was great. Very calm (useful when I was learning mooring on the town quay!!), very measured, and full of anecdotes and insights into Kefalonian life. All four instructors across our fleet were very different and equally wonderful. The area around Lixouri is wonderful as well - we enjoyed going out in the town, and particularly enjoyed the local wine festival in Barry's village. We rate this as one of the very best holidays we've done as a family, and I'm certain we'll be back!

We had such a fantastic family holiday at Stira Bay Beach Club and would absolutely recommend it. We had some fairly strong winds during our stay, which my husband was delighted about as he got plenty of time winging and windsurfing! There was also so much for the children to do, which made it a really easy and enjoyable holiday for all of us. The team were amazing throughout, so friendly, helpful and brilliant with the kids. The food was delicious, the setting is beautiful and the sunsets over the bay are something else. We also loved being able to walk into the local town in the evenings, which was a lovely addition and made it feel like we got to experience a little more of the area rather than just staying at the hotel. A brilliant family holiday with the perfect mix of activities and time to relax. We’d definitely come back and have already started discussing next year! Thank you

Our holiday in Stira Bay fell well below our expectations based on the advertising and reviews. This is a shared hotel where beyond beach guests are in the minority. This was certainly not made clear in the advertising. This made the shared areas such as the beach and pool very busy. It also included locals who were not guests using the facilities at the hotel. This meant that ‘sunbed wars’ were alive and kicking throughout our stay. It also shares the one and only tennis court, so despite multiple attempts, we were always told that it was in use. Table tennis was hidden in what felt like a storage facility next to the bike shed. The hotel itself is best described as shabby. Our room was clean but small and very dark. Not the glorious sea views as advertised. We were supplied with one beach towel each for the whole week with a deposit of 5 euros each. They could have walked around on their own by the end of the week!! As for the beyond beach inclusive activities… all classes were booked for the week by the time we got away from the waiver signing queue. They did try to facilitate some extra sessions but the bottom line was they didnt have enough equipment or staff to cover the number of guests. We had one beginner windsurfing session where we had to share boards and one beginner sailing session put on with one boat between 5. The reality of this 90 minute session was 5 mins each on the water with an instructor where we all got to hold the tiller extension. Again, not the ‘building in skills’ throughout the week that is advertised. We are keen cyclists and although we did enjoy a few mountain bike rides we did not feel that the bikes were a priority. The rides were short and there was an attempt to book a longer ride but the never came to fruition as the bike guy was needed on the beach! We had hoped for a multi sport activity holiday. The reality was this seemed to cater best for experienced sailors and windsurfers. Overall we came home feeling very disappointed and will not be booking with Beyond Beach again.

We had a great time at Stira! The hotel was great with lovely sea views. The BB staff are super friendly and fun. We are big water sports funs and we were not disappointed! We wingfoiled and windsurfed. The wind conditions were great and we always felt secured in the water. If you want to relax and have fun I 100% recommend this. Special thanks to Ollie our wing instructor for the great tips!

We loved the beautiful Styra Bay in Evia with our boys 14 and 18. It’s a brilliant family holiday as everyone can do their own thing but it’s small enough that you know where everyone is and you can easily join up to do things together too. The optional clinics provide gentle tuition for those keen to learn new skills and are tailored to the needs of the group. And if you just want to grab some kit and go out on the water, you can be confident knowing that the safety team are around to support you. But what makes this holiday truly special are the Beyond Beach staff, who are fun, friendly and extremely helpful. They go out of their way to ensure everyone has a brilliant time and nothing is too much trouble. Between us we enjoyed so many activities from sailing, windsurfing and winging, to biking, table tennis, fitness classes, snorkelling and the group paddle. The staff are able to advise you on the best kit to take for the conditions and your level and without exception do all the hard work so you can just go and enjoy yourself! I especially loved the fact that within just two minutes of leaving my room, I could be swimming in the sea with the many coloured fish. The dedicated kids and teens meets at the start of the week are perfect for breaking down barriers and helping the kids and young people make friends in a gentle way. We also loved the close proximity to the town - just a stroll along the beach to a variety of friendly tavernas and restaurants. We enjoyed the inclusive BBQs on the beach too at sundown. The bar staff were all so lovely and friendly too and it was great to play cards over a drink or bite to eat just seconds from the beach. We’d had a difficult year and this was the tonic we all needed. Thank you to all the staff at Beyond Beach for a wonderful holiday.

Our second BB holiday, and first time at Lixouri Bay. We had a fantastic week. We were a group of 8, with 4 teenage children (17 - 19 yr olds). Beyond Beach has something for everyone, you can just sit, relax and enjoy a good book and occasionally take a swim/head out on a paddle board or you can enjoy all the watersports activities available, from 10 to 6, all week long. The watersports team are always friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic - nothing is ever too much trouble and they are there to make sure you have a great time, and pick up some new skills along the way. Alongside the water sports there are teenage games and beach volley ball, and Yoga, not forgetting the memorable beach bites in the beach bar - plenty of opportunities to get chatting to the other guests if desired. All in the environment of a small, family run hotel, where the hotel staff are the perfect hosts. We loved the food at the evening meals - so tasty! Special mention to Dinos, who goes above and beyond! As a holiday option with teenagers it works brilliantly, something for everyone to enjoy, and all organised in a relaxed, easygoing way!

A really great holiday. We did a week of flotilla sailing and it was everything we could hope for. Paul and Chris were great leaders and everything was well organised. We were not very experienced but they were reassuring and supportive so by the end we were much more confident. The sailing is beautiful.

Our second BB holiday. Last year was incredible in Lixouri Bay, Greece - super chilled and fun with plenty to do and lovely staff and families. It was so good we nearly went there again but instead this year we went to Vaujany in the Alps for a different type of adventure. There are SO many activities to choose but Freek and Eliza at the chalet were always on hand to help recommend, organise and book them for us. We did mountain biking, mountain walks, white water rafting, zip lines, skate parks, the incredible Via Ferrata, paddle boarding, swimming, table tennis, boules.. the list goes on.... and there were lots of other activities we didn't have time for that we will have to come back and do another time! There are great experiences and new challenges for all - young and old. Our 12 yo son loved every minute, made lots of new friends and, like last year in Greece, it has been a hugely positive experience for him. The chalet was beautiful and all the other families were very friendly - there is a good community spirit about the place. There is a beautiful garden to relax in after a long day too. Thanks so much to everyone at BB.. always going above and beyond to ensure a wonderful time is had by all. Keep up the amazing work and we look forward to our next holiday with you! X

Another fabulous holiday with Beyond Beach - just back from our first visit to Stira Bay. Fantastic weather for sailing and windsurfing, brilliant hotel set up, great mountain bikes - something for everyone. We had the best time and my kids have already asked to come back again next year! Boys were also happy to complete their RYA level 2. Thank you to the whole team.

Would rather not tell everyone how fabulous these holidays are, but genuinely we have (again) had the best time. A group of 2 families, variable ages. Everyone had fun, so much to do. An amazing team running the beach and the hotel. We will no doubt be back next year.

We had a great week: it was relaxed, friendly, sociable, fun and just easy- what a holiday should be! Not even a shortage of loungers :-) no stress at all! The staff are all lovely and the location is fabulously close to the town for lunch or evening meals. This was our first time with Beyond Beach and it won’t be our last!
