“Had an amazing week in Lixouri. What a beautiful island and also a lovely resort with incredible views Fabulous family run hotel were so friendly and gave us excellent ideas for touring the island and where to eat Activity wise - we were always kept busy with fitness thoughtfully altered to our injuries , sailing with a good choice of boats- loved the sail away trip , paddle boarding and windsurfing . Staff were great warm but fun whilst giving us good tips in all sports Thanks so much”

“We had never sailed before and so in our 60’s we took the plunge and went with Beyond Beach in Kefalonia to do our RYA level 1. From the initial booking to queries with the office prior to our departure, it was absolutely fabulous! Our instructor Owen was incredible and we passed! Hugo and The rest of the beach team and the hotel staff went above and ‘beyond beach ‘to make everything wonderful. The inclusive meals and breakfast were delicious. Elysia the fitness instructor put us through our paces every morning and the stretch and relax every evening was just what we needed after spending the day in and on the water! We really can’t wait to go again and hopefully bring all our family.”

“This was my first time on a 36-foot yacht, although I have experience in windsurfing and dinghy sailing, so I was a bit nervous to begin with. Shirley, our amazing captain, exuded confidence and belief and made us feel relaxed and ready to learn. The first day was perfect force 3-4 winds to get used to the setup . We were a bit unlucky with losing 2.5 days due to extreme weather, but we had a couple of exhilarating days in force 5 winds, gusting 6 at times. The yacht was heeling over quite far at times, but with Shirley's expert guidance I never felt out of control. We both learned so much from Shirley in a relatively short time and had a lot of fun in the process. The cabins of the Bavaria 36 felt cramped at times and I'm glad there were only 2 of us! 4 would have been ok too, but the thought of 6 or 8 people on the 36-footer doesn't bear thinking about, especially with the limited onshore shower facilities.”

“Had a fantastic time. I came with a "Competent Crew" certificate, but unfortunately had only sailed once since 2015. Shirley was a brilliant instructor, she took me (us) way beyond CC, I learnt more, my confidence is singing. Thank you so much Shirley!”

“We had two weeks at Venus Beach in Nea Styra last year, two weeks again this year, and...er...have already booked for two weeks again next year! We have fallen in love with the authenticity of the place, the relaxed and happy social activities, and the super professional and fun beach team. The other guests have always been super sociable folk and we've made some great new friends. As an experienced dinghy sailor I've had some super exhilarating dinghy and cat sailing in some of the stronger winds, improved my dodgy wind surfing skills and started learning winging and foiling from scratch. My wife was a complete beginner on it all but is now a pretty competent dinghy sailor and is doing great learning wing and foil too. There is nothing I'd change.”

“We had such a great week at Stira Bay! The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We loved all the activities especially the sail away and paddle tour day exploring the coast line. The location was perfect with the hotel right on the beach. Kit was always available whenever we wanted it and we spent hours on the water. Would definitely go back!”

“Another fantastic week with BeyondBeach at Lixouri Bay Beach Club, Kefalonia. BeyondBeach works perfectly for me and my husband: Whilst I just want to sit, relax and enjoy a good book and occasionally take a swim or head out on a paddle board (but never pressured by staff to join in or get out on the water), my husband can enjoy all the watersports activities to his hearts content. The Greek hotel staff welcome you like family from the get go and the watersports team are always friendly and professional - nothing is ever too much trouble. It was really lovely to have the Healthy Options included as part of the package this time around. As a holiday option it works brilliantly and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Top tip: Hire a car. Kefalonia is well worth exploring!”

“Excellent holiday from start to finish. Staff in the Uk office were very helpful. Booking process was easy. We were met by Beyond Beach staff at the hotel who gave us a good welcome. All staff were really approachable and helpful. Impressed with the number of activities, more than we had at our last Mark Warner trip. Enjoyed the yoga and cycling. Staff went out of their way to help us with our long swims too. Great value for money.”

“I had an amazing holiday with Beyond Beach. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The watersports team were exceptional and really went out of their way to help you enjoy the water activities. You can see they have a genuine passion for water sports. The sailaway, a sail to an another beach, was literally awesome as we had good winds. Flyn, my wing board instructor was fantastic and he has got me hooked on winging. I am so grateful for his patience and encouragement. Finley, Charlotte, Ben and Hugo were also great. The regatta was exciting and a fun way to end the week. Saw several turtles whilst paddleboarding. The beach and bay are lovely. Big thanks to all of the team for making the week so enjoyable and special”

“Our Second Amazing Stay with Beyond Beach! Just returned from our second summer holiday with Beyond Beach in Vaujany - James and Susie have outdone themselves again! As the business owners, they provided such personal, hands-on service that makes all the difference. James was absolutely awesome, welcoming us back like old friends with fantastic local recommendations. Susie was more than accommodating, remembering details from our first visit and going above and beyond throughout our stay. It's rare to find business owners so personally invested in their guests' experiences. The chalet was perfect, Vaujany was stunning, but it's James and Susie's genuine care and attention that makes Beyond Beach truly special. Second visit down, definitely not our last! When you find this level of excellence and personal touch, you become a loyal customer for life. Highly recommend Beyond Beach for anyone wanting an exceptional Alpine summer experience!”

“Loved every detail of our trips to the Alps. Vaujany is simply spectacular. The chalets are lovely and the garden was absolute bliss, looking out to the waterfall down the valley. The activities were plentiful, just like the wholesome food that James and Susy dished up every day. If you need someone on the BBQ, look no further. Thank you to the whole team out there! “Had the BEST time with these guys! As a total beginner it was amazing to have a go at so many water sports and sailing - the staff were all super friendly and supportive and the hotel was clean, comfy and great food. Special thanks to Hugo and Nell for instantly making me feel welcome, and to Flynn and Finlay for getting me solo dinghy sailing for the first time! Had a wonderful flotilla sail on a catamaran with Bertie! The equipment was so good and the setting is amazing, sandy beach, shallow warm waters and just the right mix of calm days for SUP and windy days for sailing and wing surfing. I’ll definitely be back! Loved it ❤️❤️❤️”

““Best holiday ever!” Were the words that came from both my 8 and 10 year old girls. This would have been enough but this was echoed by me and my wife. There was so much to do and all of it with either top notch equipment and/or instruction from the friendliest beach team. Round that off with the delicious food and a cocktail or two in the evenings and things couldn’t be better. Or could they? You get to do again the next day and the day and the next day …. Loved it all and can’t wait to come back again.”

“We have just returned from another 2 weeks of wonderful sailing / activity at Stira Bay. Just like last year the team was led by Michelle, the whole team are all so friendly, accommodating and really encourage you to get stuck in! Which we did :-) So many highlights but we loved the Sail Away and the Wacky Races. We're already looking forward to next year!!”

“Where to begin?! This was an exceptional holiday thats given us lasting memories. It was good from the start: a straightforward booking process helped. It was clear what the options were and we were choosing, and even though we made a couple of changes prior to departure, each of these was accommodated without hassle, confusion or a penalty. Email communication was always speedy and friendly, and as our trip approached, we received everything we needed to get packed up and know what the arrangements were on arrival. The boat itself was comfortable, well-equipped and in good nick. It was great having the boat to ourselves overnight with easy access to shops and restaurants, and a thoughtful bonus was having the use of an apartment just opposite the marina for kitchen/bathroom needs. Our instructor, Sennen, was outstanding: he was knowledgeable, warm, good fun and inspired great confidence in us as fairly novice sailors. This was a great way to explore a corner of Kefalonia and a great introduction to sailing. It demystified some of the technical aspects and the learning experience was immersed in fun. Plenty of jumping off the boat to snorkel, swim or just cool off, alongside plenty of solid instruction and turn-taking. There was free time around the edges to explore, and being walking distance to the square made it easy to rat out rather than depend on the galley for every meal. Being alongside just two other boats on similar trips created a little community with mutual support and friendly chat, but without any sense of feeling cramped or of there being any expectations to mix.”

“The outstanding feature of Beyond Beach in Kefalonia is the Greek family welcome of the Lazaratos hotel which flows down from the brothers and cousins there to the young beach staff and management. The beach ‘vibe’ is laid back, casual, unspoiled but the staff are very willing and professional. It’s all about enjoying the natural beauty (landscape, weather and humans).”
