I agree with the feedback given by Mathew who was on the same trip. Beyond Beach seemed well priced, communication regarding the initial booking was excellent and all arrival/departure arrangements well-organised. I’ve travelled with Minorca sailing previously and hoped for a similar standard of product and experience. Unfortunately our holiday in Stira Bay was disrupted by consistently variable wind conditions which made it unsuitable for my partner to learn to sail and for me to refresh old skills and experience. Many activities were restricted by the lack of available staff. What with staff days off, sickness, staff on holiday and mandatory lunchtime beach closures, the amount of time available to get on the water and learn was limited. Those with great experience could manage the conditions, but for me and my partner, having a site with a strong offshore wind seems like a a poor decision when choosing the location. That said, the location itself is pleasant enough. Hotel Staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were quite limited but acceptable. The accommodations were in a lovely setting but tired and the shower was a bit knackered, the drains didn’t drain and the bed was broken. Cleaners were very good. The Beyond Beach staff worked very hard, despite the difficult conditions, to keep things moving, but unfortunately, due to the winds, there was a lot of vague and inconsistent information about availability of sailing lessons. This meant that it started off as a stressful and frustrating holiday and eventually we gave up pretty much and filled by the pool. We had some good fun on the catamaran and but had to ask for some guidance regarding extracting learning from these sessions. Often it was not possible as there were not adequate staff to provide all the promised offerings. When that was given, it was excellent but way too windy for us to sail ourselves. I agree with Matthew that there seemed to be enough boats, For instance, but it wasn’t really suitable for the conditions. We could have taken better advantage with onboard lessons in a multi handed boat, but the Cat is too powerful and that left only 1 boat but not enough staff to teach. Almost all of the beginner boats were left unused the whole week. I wouldn't recommend this site for beginner sailors and I think we will go elsewhere for my partner to learn and for me to revise. Somewhere with winds less than 20mph every day with strong gusts! Ultimately we enjoyed our trip and met other lovely guests, but I’d say if you go for a full on sailing experience, this probably isn’t the place. If you go as an experienced sailor and happy to blast along, you will love it.

Beyond Beach initally seemed well priced, communication regarding the initial booking was excellent and all arrival/departure arrangements well-organised. Unfortunately our holiday in Stira Bay was disrupted by consistently variable wind conditions which made it unsuitable for my son to progress as a beginner, and restricting many other guests activities on the water. The location itself is stunning, and the accommodation and local staff fantastic, however, for beginner and intermediate sailing, the location isn't really suitable and the marketing of the site is deceptive. The Beyond Beach staff worked very hard, despite the difficult conditions, to keep things ticking along, but unfortunately, due to the winds, there was a lot of vague and inconsistent information about availability of sailing or windsurfing which contributed to a at times stressful and frustrating holiday. For instance, the equipment on the water, whilst somewhat varied and reasonably well-stocked, isn't really suitable for the conditions with only three Lasers for example. Almost all of the beginner boats were left unused the whole week. The company also offered an RYA qualification option for youth dinghy sailing (amongst others), and I initially booked levels 1&2 for my 11-year old son, thinking that would be reasonable to achieve over a week. Unfortunately though, due to the winds, he was unable to complete his level 2 as he couldn't get out on the water enough. The communication around the RYA course was also very vague and unclear. I wouldn't recommend this site for beginner sailors.

Had a good week at the Lazaratos Hotel with Trek Adventures. Watersports were generally good, boats and windsturfing were decent. Hotel staff were friendly and the food served at the hotel was really good. Definitely missed an area where you could do other sports like tennis. The beach is a bit shabby and the sunloungers/parasols were in need of repair. Beach bar was great but they're desperately missing a toilet at the bar, especially if they're hosting drinks down there in the evenings. Hotel was nice but it's very basic and the showers and bathrooms needed a real clean. Mirrors in both of our rooms were cracked and rusty all over, quite a lot of it needed replacing and repairing. Really honestly for what you pay i thought it wasn't at a good enough standard. All the table tennis tables were broken or severly warped. That aside we had a good week, the standard was just a bit below what was expected.

Food luke warm at breakfast and evening meal, although it was tasty Poor on-water tuition- if any, land based tuition good. 1 1/2 hour lunch break for beach staff, could have been staggered so that beach activities were still open. On strong afternoon wind beach staff were slow to catch boats returning to shore, (they would have a shock if they worked for one of the top 2 activity holiday companies!) Had to use taxi at 20 euros round trip to town on non food evenings. Lovely sandy quiet beach. Very clean and well kept family hotel.
