“We felt truly spoiled for a week. The endless offer of sailing activities, yoga and fitness. The super enthusiastic and friendly staff, the personal attention, the good food. We are a family with kids between 8 and 17 and everyone loved it. I also brought my parents (age 75 and 80) who loved it as well!”

“Fantastic week in Stira Bay, Evia. Idyllic setting with stunning sunsets and sea view from room balcony. V enthusiastic, friendly and helpful BB team - we enjoyed watersports, cycling and my 15y old son and husband also did circuits on the beach-rather hot but apparently fun! The team also ran 3 teen activity sessions (and wacky races on last day) which were v popular with my son and he quickly got to know others and had a great week. Easy access to beach from hotel. I loved pre-bfast swims from “secret cove”-so peaceful and crystal clear water. Breakfast had lots of options from 0730-10 (so could get there even if doing early activity) and the inclusive sunset bbqs and buffet dinner were delicious. It was a leisurely 20-30min walk into town (along beach) or 5 mins in taxi then lots of options for dinner by the sea, including great seafood.The hotel taverna and bar had lots of choice for lunch-reasonably priced, esp taverna where portions were v generous and perfect for sharing. We combined our week with 3 nights in Athens at the start. BB arranged transfer from our Athens hotel to the port-v easy, about 1h taxi and then just 30min ferry and few mins in mini bus to hotel. Thank you BB for an amazing week. Highly recommend.”

“We had a great time on the beachclub holiday. All the staff were knowledgeable and happy to help. Equipment was plentiful and always available. The hotel itself was lovely, small and very authentic. We would definitely return. The fitness classes were a lovely addition”

“The booking and payment arrangements were simple, and pre-travel communications were clear. The arrival and check-in were smooth. Villa Euphoria (Lixouri, Kefalonia) was finished to a very high standard and the equipment was good. The instructor team, led by Hugo was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient with beginners. They were also open to feedback. One of the best family holidays we have had. We would choose Beyond Beach again.”

“Such a great family holiday! Amazing friendly team and excellent food cooked by the dedicated family who own the hotel. The beach is pretty much private and the beach bar adds a great vibe at the end of the day. Lots of water based activities on offer and a really good choice of land based stuff too - really enjoyed the yoga! A brilliant holiday for an active family with teenagers. We’ve been three times now and are already discussing next year……it really delivers on every level for us and thank you so much for another wonderful time.”

“Our 3rd year with Beyond Beach and again the best so far! Relaxing yoga, fun physical sessions, great watersports - all under the leadership of strong beach, resort and hotel teams. As a family of 5, the need of each of us were more than catered for: relaxation, fun, learning, too much good food, the list could go on. Wonderful location, many kindred spirits for all ages. “We're a school group, who've been running a watersports trip to the Lixouri Bay resort for the past three years, as it is such a perfect place for our kids to learn to sail, windsurf and wing! We take the whole hotel for a week in early July, with 40 or so boys from an independent school, and we have always had a brilliant time - the Lazaratos family have such a great hotel, that they run with warmth, care and genuine hospitality. Hugo, Nell and the Beyond Beach team are just excellent, making every moment of the trip action-packed for our boys, so that many of them come back in subsequent years! This place is an absolute gem, and I can't believe that the sailing area and conditions are not being used by anyone else, as we literally have the entire area to ourselves to play in, it's amazing!”

“This is one of those reviews that, in truth, you'd rather not write! When you enjoy such a wonderful holiday, there's something to be said for keeping it under your hat! However I will share my thoughts. This is a great little hotel with very attentive staff, and the BeyondBeach team are just wonderful... friendly,enthusiastic and great fun. We loved the water sports and benefited from some excellent tuition. We also enjoyed the walks into town and we found some great restaurants there. Congratulations to all the BeyondBeach team and thank you for a most memorable holiday!”

“A similar 'package' with competitors of Beyond beach are substantially moire expensive. All extremely well organised. Very responsive to enquiries and alterations to plans. The hotel itself was excellent as was the food. The watersports was well equipped with lessons and kit. I didn't make use of the bikes or tennis. The staff were just outstanding. They could not do enough to help and make you feel welcome. Highly recommend Beyond beach.”

“This was our 3rd trip to Lixouri Bay and it gets better every year - we go with friends we met on our first trip where our kids hit it off on day 1 before the safety briefing! The familiarity is part of the appeal plus the knowledge of guaranteed fun. The Beach Team were fantastic as always & great to see familiar faces again - big thanks to Dexter for his patience in helping this middle-aged lady pass her windsurfing RYA level 1 (& it was really windy!). The smaller number of guests make it much easier for the team to spend time with guests, offering assistance in addition to the lessons. They learn your names quickly so the whole thing feels like a much more personal experience. The Lazaratos family are so welcoming and the hotel always feels like home from home, they are a massive part of the holiday and part of the reason we keep going back. The food is good old home-cooked and lunch at the pool bar is excellent. The whole package is such great value for money in terms of what you get on the beach, in the hotel and the overall enjoyment factor. Beach Bites night just brings the whole week together with the guests, beach team & Lazaratos family all having fun together over good food, drinks & dancing! This really is a fantastic holiday and if you go with the expectation you’ll hang out with other guests & know your kids are with their new friends in a super safe environment you can’t go wrong!”

“Lovely small hotel in Stira with great dining options and bar. Small comfortable rooms although bathrooms could do with a good clean/bit of maintenance! Nice pool, great beach and fantastic availability of equipment. Some beyond beach staff were friendly but some seemed more interested in each other than the guests! Could’ve done with more activities eg yoga, beach volleyball, social activities in evenings etc. Transfer time a nightmare - 6 hours on way out and 3 hours on way back compared to advertised 1.5 hours - be warned if you have young children. Overall a lovely relaxing trip to a wonderful part of the coastline.”

As already discussed, your arrival transfer problem was an unfortunate combination of events - delayed flights was of course the main issue. We've taken your feedback onboard, and from now on, anyone with a delayed flight will have a private taxi ready straight away on arrival, directly to the club, rather than awaiting the next arrivals for the mini bus. This will ensure the usual transfer time, which has never ever been an issue before. Hope to see you all soon.

“Beyond Beach are beyond fabulous We tried the new club at Stira Bay which exceeded expectations. Wall to wall sunshine and wind kept us cool and busy on and off the water; perfecting our dingy sailing and windsurfing, getting better on the wing - well one of us was! The hotel and facilities are superb with infinity pool, cute bungalow accommodation daily housekeeping and private balconies all overlooking the panoramic sunsets 🌅. The package with BB includes huge range of buffet breakfast items that powered us through the day, inclusive evening meals feature a BBQ on the beach to bond as much or as little with other guests as you like (we are temperate joiner’s inners). Unfortunately as a vegan and pescatarian we threw a spanner in the works but extra veggie options were prepared. The BB team all appear to have their own expertise that they share in formal and informal coaching sessions. It was really windy during our holiday which made us push ourselves and master new things. We also enjoyed the non wind sports like PT led workouts, runs, wild swims and mountain bike sessions. The nearby towns of old and new Styra offered a wide selection of delicious eating places, a 20 min walk or €5 taxi. 🚕 we didn’t try all! We’ve definitely turned our back on self led water sports holidays now we’ve had the VIP beyond beach experience!”

“We had an excellent holiday with Beyond Beach doing the ICC sailing qualification. From the outset, office staff were helpful and efficient. We found our sail training team were helpful, friendly and knew their job and the boats were well equipped and good to sail. Even though the course included an exam it was a relaxed week and gave us renewed confidence. Lixouri is a little gem of a town in a safe sailing area. The holiday compared favourably to other companies in terms of cost. It was all very good and I will be recommending BB to my friends.”

“Learn to sail week. Easy booking, very good communication prior to departure and on arrival day, welcome pack on board of cleaning products/bag of crisps much appreciated. Lots of helpful information about local shops good value restaurants and recommended locations enabled us to settle in very quickly. Knowledgeable and friendly trainers. All very well organised and a very good balance of learning versus holiday time. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.”
