This is our first flotilla holiday for several years after bareboating. We felt that as a holiday it ticked all the boxes one ease of booking customer care throughout the process and being always fully informed. However the actual sailing trip was even better with Paul and Rory nailing the week in the Ionian. We have sailed there twice before but Paul still found new overnight stops and inventive ways of rafting, Kalamos can be difficult. We would happily recommend the holiday and be pleased to sail with those guys who were always positive and supportive. Thanks

A brilliant week of sailing and windsurfing wind every day . Got up on the wing foil after a day, instruction absolutely fantastic. The watersports team second to none and always on hand to help. Accommodation was even better than expected with amazing Mediterranean views .Highly recommend.

Simply fantastic exercise holiday with Blitz Fitness and BeyondBeach - a brilliant mix of exercise, cycling, yoga, pilates, wild swimming and all the watersports you could possibly want. The staff at the hotel are simply amazing, so friendly and accommodating. And the food - all so fresh and absolutely delicious- I will be back!!

My husband and I stayed at Stira Bay the week after the June half-term holiday and what a fabulous week we had! We’ve previously had a couple of family Seatrek holidays over the years, based at Paliki Beach Club in Kefalonia (which we absolutely loved) so although we knew the vibe to expect from the holiday we were a little nervous about whether Stira Bay could live up to all those happy memories… It absolutely did. Stira Bay exceeded our expectations. The family run hotel has three beaches to choose from and a beautiful infinity pool with plenty of shade available for when we weren’t on the water. The week we were there, the wind was ideal, building up from calm mornings for paddle-boarding to gentle winds by lunchtime and then picking up slightly in the afternoon. It also increased day by day so as our rusty windsurfing skills got polished off, each day became more challenging and really good fun! We loved sailing the cats in the higher winds too. The Beyond Beach staff were super helpful and friendly, pro-actively chatting with clients and offering advice and suggestions about the wide range of activities on offer. As for the hotel itself, our room was spotless and had a lovely sea view, the lunchtime taverna food was delicious and the sunsets were simply stunning. At the end of the week, the return transfer was efficiently organised for us and worked perfectly. So all in all, a resounding success! Thank you to everyone on the Beyond Beach team, we loved our holiday and we’re considering coming back in September!

Just spent a fantastic week in Kefalonia with Beyond Beach and Blitz Fitness at Lazaratos Hotel in Lixouri. My fifth visit and I’ll be back for sure. Expert tuition in all water sports, I even stood up on a wing foil after one training session, the yoga was sublime. Hugo, Nel, Ben, Dexter, Dylan and Fin etc such a fun loving, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bunch. The Blitz Fitness sessions of circuits and Pilates excellently planned and led by Karen and Melisa. Amazing facilities at the hotel, such a wonderful welcoming family, delicious food and nothing is too much for them. Hard recommend!

The Stira Bay resort staff went out of their way to be helpful, enthusiastic, and really got to know the guests in this fairly small resort. I thought the sailing instruction was excellent, and gave me the confidence to set sail in some fairly strong winds. I thought the overall package was good value, and I liked the small, family run hotel atmosphere.

Beyond Beach offers great value Flotilla holidays with well maintained yachts, despite their age, and great staff who go above and beyond to ensure customers have a safe and enjoyable holiday. We very much enjoyed the Lixouri beach club as a second week add on for relaxing, great food and using the sailing/cycling/yoga on offer.

We have just returned from a super week’s stay in Lixouri Bay. I had been looking for something similar to a Nielsen holiday, but on a smaller scale and with a more personal feel, although I didn’t think such a place could exist and still provide a good range of water sports options. I was wrong! I was so pleased to find BeyondBeach existed, and booked for a family of 5 (all adults) for June. The week we chose, between half term and the start of the summer holidays was exceptionally quiet, but the upside was we could choose whatever water sport we wanted, when we wanted it, and we took full advantage! Mornings started with beautiful flat water - ideal for our daily 1km wild swims, SUP yoga or paddle boarding and kayaking - with the bonus of seeing turtles and dolphins! The wind usually picked up well as the day progressed and we had a Topaz regatta and a Quest and CAT mini sailaway. The beach staff were a lovely helpful young group. Accommodation-wise the rooms were modern, spacious and very clean. The hotel’s main dining area had lovely views of the bay and the food was delicious (if a little repetitive). The lunch snacks/meals were really good with lots of options (useful with gluten free/ diary free/non-meat eaters in our family!). The location was a little remote, and as a family of 5 we always needed two taxis, but it was easy enough to get to town or across to Argostoli. My husband and I would defintely consider another BeyondBeach week. Thank you!

My family and I recently stayed at Stira Bay Beach Club. Following a super easy transfer from Athens, we were greeted by a helpful and friendly staff that really cared we had the best holiday.... Activities were spot on and were well managed depending on the daily conditions by the instructors. They were brilliant at coaching the kids along... Food was likewise excellent - sunset BBQs being a particular highlight! Finally, accommodation had beautiful sea (and sunset!) views. Great setup, great team. Thanks for having us!

I recently came back from a trip to Stira Bay. We had such a fantastic week! The location of the hotel is stunning, with amazing sunsets, a fantastic pool, and plenty of different areas to relax. The watersports and activities were great, with plenty of choice and plenty of very smiley, enthusiastic, and encouraging instructors to help. The selection of windsurfing & winging kit was very good, and the Laser dinghies were great fun when the wind was stronger. We used the bikes to explore the local area, and I must they the bikes were great! A big thanks to Michelle, George, and the rest of the BeyondBeach team, we will be back!

I agree with the feedback given by Mathew who was on the same trip. Beyond Beach seemed well priced, communication regarding the initial booking was excellent and all arrival/departure arrangements well-organised. I’ve travelled with Minorca sailing previously and hoped for a similar standard of product and experience. Unfortunately our holiday in Stira Bay was disrupted by consistently variable wind conditions which made it unsuitable for my partner to learn to sail and for me to refresh old skills and experience. Many activities were restricted by the lack of available staff. What with staff days off, sickness, staff on holiday and mandatory lunchtime beach closures, the amount of time available to get on the water and learn was limited. Those with great experience could manage the conditions, but for me and my partner, having a site with a strong offshore wind seems like a a poor decision when choosing the location. That said, the location itself is pleasant enough. Hotel Staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were quite limited but acceptable. The accommodations were in a lovely setting but tired and the shower was a bit knackered, the drains didn’t drain and the bed was broken. Cleaners were very good. The Beyond Beach staff worked very hard, despite the difficult conditions, to keep things moving, but unfortunately, due to the winds, there was a lot of vague and inconsistent information about availability of sailing lessons. This meant that it started off as a stressful and frustrating holiday and eventually we gave up pretty much and filled by the pool. We had some good fun on the catamaran and but had to ask for some guidance regarding extracting learning from these sessions. Often it was not possible as there were not adequate staff to provide all the promised offerings. When that was given, it was excellent but way too windy for us to sail ourselves. I agree with Matthew that there seemed to be enough boats, For instance, but it wasn’t really suitable for the conditions. We could have taken better advantage with onboard lessons in a multi handed boat, but the Cat is too powerful and that left only 1 boat but not enough staff to teach. Almost all of the beginner boats were left unused the whole week. I wouldn't recommend this site for beginner sailors and I think we will go elsewhere for my partner to learn and for me to revise. Somewhere with winds less than 20mph every day with strong gusts! Ultimately we enjoyed our trip and met other lovely guests, but I’d say if you go for a full on sailing experience, this probably isn’t the place. If you go as an experienced sailor and happy to blast along, you will love it.

Beyond Beach initally seemed well priced, communication regarding the initial booking was excellent and all arrival/departure arrangements well-organised. Unfortunately our holiday in Stira Bay was disrupted by consistently variable wind conditions which made it unsuitable for my son to progress as a beginner, and restricting many other guests activities on the water. The location itself is stunning, and the accommodation and local staff fantastic, however, for beginner and intermediate sailing, the location isn't really suitable and the marketing of the site is deceptive. The Beyond Beach staff worked very hard, despite the difficult conditions, to keep things ticking along, but unfortunately, due to the winds, there was a lot of vague and inconsistent information about availability of sailing or windsurfing which contributed to a at times stressful and frustrating holiday. For instance, the equipment on the water, whilst somewhat varied and reasonably well-stocked, isn't really suitable for the conditions with only three Lasers for example. Almost all of the beginner boats were left unused the whole week. The company also offered an RYA qualification option for youth dinghy sailing (amongst others), and I initially booked levels 1&2 for my 11-year old son, thinking that would be reasonable to achieve over a week. Unfortunately though, due to the winds, he was unable to complete his level 2 as he couldn't get out on the water enough. The communication around the RYA course was also very vague and unclear. I wouldn't recommend this site for beginner sailors.

Myself and my wife have just finished our first flotilla lead by Paul and Rory. It was an amazing experience and I’d recommend it to anyone. Paul and Rory were fantastic. Always delivering great briefings in the mornings and always incredible helping us to moor up for the evenings. There were also always on hand to help with any questions we had which made us feel very safe and really helped our confidence grow. We will definitely be returning next year!!! Thanks again to everyone at beyond beach, especially Paul and Rory!!!!!
