“Shoes I ordered online were too big. The Union Street shop were very helpful with the refund and looking for alternatives. They didn't have anything suitable but checked with the Eastgate store who had a couple of options. Visited the Eastgate store and purchased one of the alternatives plus a matching bag. All staff involved were very helpful.”

“I was very lucky to have been in Beggs shop in Shetland earlier in the year. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. So when I was looking for boots I went to their website. I bought beautifully crafted, incredibly comfortable leather lace up boots. The quality is outstanding, with thoughtful details that set them apart from anything mass-produced. Also love the fact they are a family run business.”

“I was looking for some smart shoe/boots and saw some on the website. They were just what I was looking for and ordered straight away. They arrived just a few days later and they are really comfortable I am very happy with the purchase, particularly as there was 10% off.”

“I ordered a pair of Gabor boots and wasn't disappointed when they arrived. I was able to track and change my delivery date (if necessary) anytime during dispatch. A lovely handwritten note thanking me for my purchase added a little something special to my order. It's lovely to know family run businesses still exist that appreciate my custom and I would definitely purchase from Begg Shoes again.”

“This is a bit of a mixed review. Beggs shoes and boots are excellent quality. It is perhaps the lack of full information that does not help the customer. I bought two pairs of leather knee high boots. This is becauseit is often hard to know which size in different makes is the correct fit for the individual. But I would really like to ask for, is that with boots, the customer is given a top of the calf measurement. Again there is no norm for calf size. In one well known brand, I have tried average, and slim, and they were both baggy. I consider myself to have very average calves! And this was the case with the boots from Begg.”

“Great service from Begg's Shoes. I found the exact boots that I wanted, but I'm on 2 crutches and they wouldn't fit in my rucksack. The shop assistant arranged for them to be delivered to my house, otherwise I would have had to return to Inverness with my husband. The package arrived 2 days later. I'm really pleased with the boots and grateful for the home delivery.”

“Received the delivery within two days. The boots looked great, however I would have Preferred the colour to be slightly darker. So had to return the item.”
