“I preordered and paid for my purchase mid June with an expected 'in stock' date of 1 July. Except for an email inviting me to review my purchase I heard nothing until I called 8 July to get an update on my purchase. I've given 5 stars as my interaction with your customer service team was excellent. My call was answered after a couple of rings (brilliant) and I was immediately updated. My item had just been fulfilled, and which I've since received on 10 July. It would have been helpful with a preorder to get an email on or around the expected order date to say 'we've not forgotten you' if the stock is delayed. Also, the little note in the box was a very nice touch!”

“I ordered my shoes and they were delivered very promptly and perfectly packaged. There was a nice note from the seller which I thought was a lovely touch. I would definitely visit and use Beggs again and would have no hesitation recommending them.”

“I bought a pair of boots last September on holiday in Lossiemouth from your Elgin shop, and they were so comfortable that when I returned this year I wanted to buy them again in a different colour. At this time of year the boots were not on display, but your manager was so helpful and looked for them on-line and ordered them in for me. Exceptional customer service. I rate this store and its staff as 1st class.”

“Very Happy with my purchase of Earth Spirit sandals from Begg Shoes. I love the Earth Spirit sandals they are so comfortable, well made and stylish. Begg shoes purchase was straightforward and reliable. I was most impressed to receive a handwritten note from them along with my sandals. I would definetly recommend Begg Shoes and will buy from them again.”

“Delighted to have found the Begg Shoes Website - they have the greatest choice of wide fitting ladies shoes I have found anywhere! Speedy service and my new shoes (Gabor Jama) are great. I am about to order 2 more (different) pairs. Please stock as many 4cm heel, wide fitting options as you can - these are great for smart or casual and comfortable enough to wear when you are on your feet all day - so practical. I really need something in navy leather (size 5.5), silver and fuchsia would be handy too….”

“I visited the Kirkwall store with a lady I support whom has learning disabilities. Danielle greeted us at the door and allowed us time to have a browse. My friend was after a pair of sandals for the summer, but has very small and broad feet - which often limits the choice she has. Danielle asked if she could help us, and suggested a few styles that could work for my friend. Unfortunately, the style my friend liked was not in stock in the colour she favoured and Danielle said that we could try a different colour just to check the size and then order the favourite sandal from the website and have it delivered? She helped us to place the web order in store and the shoes arrived shortly after. They fit beautifully! Thank you Danielle. You made what is normally a disappointing trip into a very positive experience. We will be back...”

“Ordered a pair of trainers for my wife. Her size wasn't in stock. But they managed to procure a correct sized pair from Kirkwall in Orkney. Which were dispatched and received in a couple of days. The quality of service and friendly attentive service we received throughout was exceptional. We will return to Beggs in the future as we know the customer service is always first class.”

“First time using this family business, service was excellent as was delivery. Goods arrived in perfect condition plus a thank you note for supporting their family business. Would definitely recommend, my sandals were £10 cheaper than other stores, delivery was free. I will definitely be using and supporting this family business again. “I'm a little dissappointed as my ramonte shoes feel a little neat and as I have a few pairs was surprised. Maybe my feet have spread or maybe Ramonte to blame. Nothing to do with Beggs and I m still impressed with their service. Think it will put me off ordering online until I've been in a shop and tried some shoes on.”
