Hermes delivery driver was the worst ever! I will not use you again if you still use them

Ordered five batteries, all best before 2018, emailed a complaint as I expected a few years to use them, received a system reply telling me I would get a reply usually within 24 within 24 hours on work days still waiting. I buy a lot on the internet and this is the worst organisation I have dealt with in years. Will not go back.

As of today the 23/07/17 I have not yet received the order I made on 13/07/17 so my review will obviously not be favourable. Perhaps you could look into this for me. R.W.Reed.

Dear Customer, On receipt of your review and email to us, we immediately investigated the whereabouts of your order. The courier informed us that they had delivered your order on the 15th July. We advised you on this, and heard back from you that you did find your order, which was left underneath an item in your porch. Normally the driver would have left a card to inform you of this but on this occasion they didn't. Please accept our apologies for this and we have raised it with the courier. Order ID 713. I made a purchase from battery Station over a month ago and have still not received the items. The cost was £20 so no small sum. I have sent a number of emails asking when the item will be delivered and heard nothing. This level of service is not acceptable and there can be no excuse. The purchase needs honouring by Battery Station or a refund made. Most annoying is that 3 emails asking status have been ignored !

We never received the goods. I had already reported the problem previously. We absolutely demand a full refund organised for as soon as possible.

Hi Linda, Thank you for letting us know the issues with this order. Having investigated fully and also with speaking to you today, I believe we have got to route of the problem, and found a resolution for you. When we first heard from you on the 31st May, we contacted our couriers to find out what had happened to your order. When we spoke to you again on 1st June, we advised you that DPD had an issue delivering the order to you, so called you directly. At this stage we contacted you to confirm the address, and confirmed this with DPD. For some reason, DPD did not attempt delivery to you again, and returned the order to us. For some reason this seems to have slipped through the net and the return wasn't logged. Please accept our apologies for this oversight. Thank you for your help on the phone today and we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to re-dispatch this order to your alternative address which we've dispatched by DPD Next day. Dear Mr Page, We're very sorry to hear about the issue you've had with not receiving your order. Upon hearing from you, we initially contacted our courier, in this case Hermes, to request information about the delivery. It took them around 2 days to come back to us. Their system shows that the items were delivered and signed for at your address. They cannot however produce the name and signature of the person that signed for the order. We have lodged a claim with Hermes for this. We re-dispatched your order using a next day guaranteed service which I trust you are now in receipt of. I'm very sorry this has happened and although we have a very good record of order delivery, sometimes we are let down by third party couriers outside our control, none of which provide a 100% reliable service unfortunately. I asked for a refund and sent the email on their site no reply or confirmation they will do this .. avoid if you get the wrong item you only get silence

Next day delivery costs extra and takes 3 days! Staff were unhelpful when I called to see where my order was.

I needed new batteries for my Volvo Keyfobs and after looking them up online, realised that I could call Batter Station to make my order. The phone line has a nice passive-aggressive tone about how they are recording you, so I DO hope my call is still in the database to find. The point is, I called up, and was a bit embarrassed about only wanting to spend a tenner on one thing. I asked if it was OK to just buy the one SKU and apologised for not being a 'proper' spender. And the person who picked up the phone, who did sound awfully young, just hung up the phone on me. Nice. I had to call back and deal with a different person to be allowed to buy my batteries. There are other companies who do not threaten you as you call them and treat all people with a friendly manner. I'd rather pay more than shop here ever again. OH, and I am an electronics reviewer with relationships with grown up companies. Like JVC.

Dear Mr Rayner, I would like to thank you for your review but can't help wondering why exactly you are so annoyed. As a professional reviewer with relationships with grown up companies like JVC, I would expect any grievances you have with a company to be based on the facts of the service you've received from them. You seem to be very angry about anything and everything really; the fact that we record phone calls, which I'm sure you know is very common; in fact annoyed at the voice artist on our simple IVR; the age of the person answering; annoyed at the fact you personally thought you should be spending more. I'm not quite sure why you felt embarrassed about spending a tenner, and not being a 'proper' spender when we clearly state there is no minimum order on our website, and we welcome many orders lower than £10 every day. I really don't see how that is at all relevant to the service we provided. I'm certainly going to look into why your call was terminated but I reject your comment about someone answering the phone being 'awfully young'. The age of the person working for us is again irrelevant. If you look at our reviews, we take customer service very seriously. We proactively deal with situations where something has gone wrong. Normally I would not reply to a review like this due to the fact that the sale and delivery went smoothly and that you received your goods quickly; but your review, and your own tone and account here is so bizarre, that I'm not prepared to leave the review unanswered. So dealing with the facts here, you called to order on the 22nd March at 15.26pm. As you needed the item quickly, you opted to pay for the express shipping which guaranteed next-day delivery. The order was delivered to you by DPD at 10.13am the next day, on the 23rd March. What I am at odds to understand here, is that we fulfilled our obligations to you promptly and on time, in fact very quickly given that you ordered the item in the afternoon, and it was in your hands the morning after. The price was transparent and you provided payment details to place the order. From my own experience, most customers would be very happy with this fast service. At the same time as reading your review, we also received an email from you and a member of customer service staff contacted you promptly to resolve the situation. At this stage, you kindly offered to keep the incorrect goods as you would have use for them. This was agreed at a reduced price to take into account the hassle this has caused you. Furthermore, the correct goods were sent to you on Next Day delivery and at no further cost to you. Delivery was fast. However I have checked all the batteries and none have them have more than half the charge left in them. Will never buy from you again.

You sent me the wrong battery I wanted one for my canon m3 and it don't fit can you swop it Otherwise it's useless and a waist of money !!! The canon m3 was what was asked for !!!!!!

I purchased an Xtar VC4 USB Battery Charger Set for Li-Ion and NiMH Batteries. The unit is fine. However, the courier just left the parcel on the front door step. Fortunately, I saw him leaving. When challenged, he came back, lifted the parcel off the door step and gave it to me. When I asked why he didn't knock or ring the door bell, he said it was OK as the delivery didn't need a signature. If I hadn't been vigilant, the parcel was in full view of anybody and could have been stolen. As you can understand, I am most disappointed in my first purchase from Battery Station. Dr J K Ackers

Dear Dr Ackers, The courier was incorrect in the information they gave you. We do not use any courier service which does not require a signature. This is sheer laziness on the part of the courier, and we will raise a concern with the courier in question. I understand your concern fully although I am a little sad that you feel this warranted a 1 star review considering that all other aspects of the service were fine. I bought a battery charger and the description said it could charge 8 AA or AAA Batteries but in fact it can only charge 4 at a time. I checked with the manufacturer who confirmed that it was only 4 at time. I rang battery station to complain because that was the reason I chose that particular model and they apologised and said they would change their website but this hasn't happened yet, it is very misleading and dishonest.
