Very upset to purchase only to find they didn't arrive due to being out of stock when it showed in stock so cancelled order

Occasionally mistakes in the warehouse do occur which are only brought to our attention when an order is placed. Sometimes an item's stock level is different to the one which our system has, and we do investigate these discrepancies. Very bad packaging that could have been dangerous. Not like my previous order. Standards have dropped.

Dear Reg, We're very sorry to hear that the pack which contained your batteries was substandard. We have investigated this and are making changes to the way our orders are being packed, and we have spoken to the manufacturer about this particular product. I have noted that my colleagues did respond to your original ticket and offered to refund your shipping as a gesture of good will. This refund was made. My order has not arrived. I had a 'phone call from a lady in Derbyshire who had received my parcel even though it was correctly addressed to me. She said she would contact the carrier, but I have not heard from her again and the batteries still have not arrived.

Dear Mr Bannister, I waited to reply to your review until we had fully got to the bottom of the issue. As you correctly state, your order was delivered to a completely unconnected address, to someone who is not one of our customers. She contacted the carrier who collected the goods and delivered them to you successfully. We have tried to investigate with the courier as to why this happened but have got no further than it being an odd blip. None the less, please accept our sincere apologies for this mix-up. It is very unusual and inexplicable. I'm glad to hear that you did finally receive your order. In light of the issue, I have put in a request to refund your shipping and I hope that this small gesture will go someway to accepting our apologies. I SPENT A LONG TIME ON THE PHONE ON THE 6TH OF JULY, EXPLAINING TO A FEMALE REPRESENTATIVE EXACTLY THE TYPE OF BATTERY I REQUIRED, SHE DID NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND, PLEASE REPLAY YOUR RECORDING IF YOU HAVE IT?. THEN I RECEIVED THE WRONG BATTERY, A 3000 MAH RACING PACK FLAT BATTERY, I HAD ASKED FOR A PACK OF 6 ROUND BATTERIES IN A PLASTIC COVERING IE IN TWO ROWS OF 3. DESIGNATED AS CORUN NI-CD SCI300MAH 7 2U . I TELEPHONED YOU ON THE 9TH JULY TO REQUEST A RETURN LABEL I WAS TOLD YOU WOULD DEAL WITH IT. NOTHING HAPPENED. ON THE 15 TH JULY I SENT YOU AN E-MAIL ABOUT MIDNIGHT, YOU RESPONDED AND SUGGESTED THAT I SHOULD RING YOU AGAIN. I DID THIS ON THE 16TH JULY, I WAS EVENTUALLY PUT THROUGH TO AMBER WHOM I THINK TOOK THE ORIGINAL ENQUIRY. SHE SAID YOU DO NOT SEND A PREPAID LABEL BUT EXPENSIVELY INVOLVE A COURRIER TO COLLECT THE BATTERY, SO I HAVE TO WAIT IN UNTIL NOON HOPING HE WILL ARRIVE. I THEN ASKED IF I COULD TALK TO YOU TECIHNICAL STAFF TO FIND IF YOU REALLY HAD THE BATTERY I NEEDED, SHE SAID THERE WAS NO ONE AVAILABLE, NOT A VERY HELPFUL MEMBER OF YOUR STAFF, AS THERE HAD BEEN NO RESPONSE TO MY PHONE CALL ON THE 9 TH JULY. YOU MAY BE A LARGE BATTERY SUPPLIER BUT YOU SERVICE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, PLEASE REFUND THE £21.98 TO MY CARD ACCOUNT AS SOON AS YOU HAVE YOUR BATTERY BACK. YOURS FAITHFULLY MR. D HURRY.

Dear Mr Hurry. We're sorry we were not able to help you with finding the product you needed. At BatteryStation.co.uk we do not manufacture batteries, but we supply batteries from all the main brands in as many sizes as we can. We offer help in finding the right battery on a best-effort per application basis. This is clearly simple to do, when standard battery sizes are required; however when specialist equipment is involved, we are unable to offer technical support, as the specific battery size is very specific to the manufacturer. The customer service representative should have explained this to you properly, and not pursued trying to find the correct battery without enough information. The customer service staff have been fully re-briefed on this and won't be offering advice on specialist products going forward unless we are provided with a specific manufacturer code that matches one of our codes. I'm still investigating why your call on the 9th of July was not dealt with properly as we do not provide return address labels. A ticket was not created and I am trying to find out what happened. The return should have been arrange there and then. When you did call on the 15th, the representative explained that we would send a courier to collect the goods. This was at no expense to you, and we use a courier as many of the batteries we supply contain lithium and cannot legally be sent using Royal Mail. We have no way around that at all as it is the law. When you asked to speak to the technical staff, the contents of the second paragraph above should have been explained to you thoroughly; and this should not have sounded rude. I have had confirmation this morning that the item has been received back into our warehouse and your refund of £21.98 has been processed. Please allow a couple of days for this to show up on your card statement. Once again, I'm sorry we were unable to help and that the service in dealing with the return. Dear Mr Dippie, We're sorry that we were unable to dispatch the Sanyo Eneloop Charger that you attempted to order. Our stock level was out by a single unit, showing that we had 1 in stock, whereas we had none. Unfortunately, since the branding of Eneloop was changed from Sanyo to Panasonic, the company has still not produced a UK version of the chargers, only European plug versions. We did contact you on the 2nd of July and left you a voicemail to ask if you would like a refund or if we could provide an alternative product, as the phone was not answered. We didn't hear back from you until the 6th of July at which stage we refunded you immediately. Refunds can take anywhere between 1 working day and 3 working days depending on your card issuer and we're not quite sure why it took so long for you to see the refund. this order was supposed to have been sent eleven days ago and as yet I have not received it therefore I can not give any sort of review but would like to know where my batteries are and Not some one I would recommend if this is the service given.

I ordered some 1.5V rechargeable batteries (Ref. order nr 05061552270 - Varta 1.5 V AA batteries,) as advertised; and I received 1.2V ones which are no good for my device. See also ticket nr. ticket reference 23032. And to that end, I am mystified as to why you cannot supply the requested batteries - as you still advertise as having them in stock and are still trading them. I am (currently) dealing with "Amber" your sales representative -who has been very polite and helpful- and she has relayed information, probably from her technical department, that I find rather fascinating. Inasmuch as why would you advertise a product, provide something different, and THEN provide an explanation as to why what I want is not suitable. Or to put it another way: why, what you supplied is suitable. Hypothetically, if your logic, or sales practice was applied to the power supply requirements of customers medical or health & safety equipment power requirements, and you supplied a perceived 'suitable product;' would you hold your hand up and admit liability if something went wrong - I don't think so. I agree. 1.2 V rechargeables' are not as powerful (voltage wise) as their non-rechargeable counterparts; but a 1.5 V will provide the compensatory voltage to maintain a 1.2 voltage because it has a higher rating to start with.... and talking about power sustenance, that's also why I went for the 2400mAh. My device is a remote sensing unit with a solar recharging panel, and it is not easily accessible for battery changing. It does require 1.5V rechargeables. I've checked with the manufacture and they concur. They wouldn't specify 1.5V if they meant 1.2V. Hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Steve Hughes. tel. 01423 866800

After a week and a half and numerous emails chasing had nothing at all or any communication. Called & they said they were out of stock !!! So asked for refund as not good service. Only good point they did the refund very quickly. Would not recommend.

Our customer service team did call and left a message for you but I believe this message was not received. The message was simply to ask if you'd like to wait for the stock to arrive, or if you'd like us to part ship to you. We did actually finally receive stock of these items on April 2nd which unfortunately were stocked into our system after you'd requested a refund. I needed specific batteries for a data logger urgently which the company had. I placed the order and had received it the next day but my data loggers didnt work. When I checked the batteries all had expiry dates of oct 2014. I called and complained but to date I have not had a response and had to to order again but this time from another company.

Dear Mr Kalirai, Tadiran Batteries indicate the production date on the chassis of the battery and not the expiry dates. Any supplier you order from, the batteries will have similar dates to ours. The batteries you received were produced in later 2014 and have 10 years shelf life on them. This is in addition to the life of the battery when in use. They were about as newly produced as possible. I'm sorry that our customer service staff did not point this out to you when you contacted us. We did respond to you almost immediately and ask that you check your spam folder for this purpose. I note that our customer service team has responded to your ticket today requesting a convenient time for us to send the courier to pick up these products.
