I made an initial purchase as a guest. I have just tried to make a repeat purchase and been refused because my e-address is in use and I need to log-in. You have either made an account without my consent or your website has been hacked. Sort it please

Dear Tim, That is correct, we do not allow guest ordering. We have tried this in the past and found that some customers had orders placed using their email addresses unknown to them. From trial and error we now operate the first order owns email concept. Once you have placed an order with your email address, no one else can use it and you need to request a password. They sent ordinary AAA rechargeable batteries when I ordered, rechargeable -precharged ones, which are more expensive.. when I spoke to the owner ("I am the owner of the firm"), he more or less dismissed the complaint. No redress! Just charge the battery he said. Very poor service.

Dear Customer, I dealt with this enquiry personally. We sent you exactly what you ordered which were Duracell 900mAh AAA Batteries. When you got them they were not completely charged and we explain that this is normal. Pre-charged batteries have some charge, but lose charge gradually after manufacture. We adviced you to charge them which you did and they worked perfectly. You then continued to demand that we refunded you the difference between those ones, and the cheaper 750mAh Duracell batteries which we simply refused despite your continued complaining. We explained that you could return them to us for a refund, but you did not; you continued to try to get some money back. The package was claimed to have been delivered but nothing appeared. Sorry about the low ratting. This was the fault of the delivery company, Yodel, who can not provide proof of delivery. The problem is not with Battery Station who have been excellent throughout. Thanks Jeff.

My order has not been delivered that you sent on the 1/6/23 so what can I say apart from please return my money as I ordered on Amazon and received them the next day a lot cheaper not very pleased with you Derek Smith

I inadvertently put an incorrect postcode in my delivery address, and although the rest was correct, my order was handed over to whoever without checking that it was for them. When I tried to chase up the order, because it was my fault, it was my problem. I have since bought my batteries from someone else.

Dear Gil, Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately, we have no control over the delivery of an order that has been delivered to a incorrect address due to customer error. We can not dispute the delivery with Yodel as they have delivered to the post code that they have been supplied with, however when this was brought to our attention by yourself, we had already raised a request with Yodel, to see if they can collect your parcel from the place that they delivered to, and return to sender if possible. If the parcel is returned, we can then issue you a full refund, we are reliant on the honesty of the property owner that the parcel was delivered to. Goods are no issue their delivery promise is not. If I had known I would not get the delivery option purchased then I would not have bothered with Batterystation but got it from Amazon Prime.

Dear Brian, You ordered at 4.10pm after our 4pm deadline on Wednesday 10th May 2023. The item was therefore picked, packed and collected on Thursday 11th May 2023. The package was delivered to you on Saturday 13th at 9.50am which was a day late. The delay was due to the a backlog in your local Solent depot caused by the bank holiday earlier in the week. We apologise for this delay. Regarding Amazon Prime, we do not comment on other retailer offerings however, all of the staff here use Amazon for other products non-battery related, and Prime is late plenty of times. Ordered batteries from here they do not work and now I can’t get a refund as gone past 14days. They seem to be fine with supplying batteries that do not work. Terrible customer service. This time I report a problem with the batteries and there is no refund for faulty batteries.

Dear Customer, There is absolutely nothing wrong with the batteries we provided to you, which were Saft batteries. We have sold literally thousands from this batch to many professional companies including alarm installers. We cannot simply refund odd batteries, with no support of them being faulty, simply because they did not last as long in the device as you expected. We did not supply your device nor install it, and we do not know how it is functioning. Your natural first port of call is to blame us for the batteries being faulty, but we conformity certificates, test certificates, and loads of sales history on this batch. There are no recalls and no faults reported. It is impossible for 3 batteries from a tray to be faulty when all the others are absolutely fine. Battery production does not work like that. Furthermore each battery is tested for voltage during production. We recommend you contact whoever provided the alarm and enquiry as to what the issue is, but we stand by our position that these batteries were not faulty. Clearly we are not fine with supplying batteries that do not work. We have over 30,000 positive reviews and tens of thousands of repeat customers. I paid extra for next-day delivery and spent nearly 40 mins on the phone chasing. When I asked to be put through to the girl's supervisor I was put through to a gentleman who eventually said I am not her supervisor I am just her colleague. I was told a manager would hopefully call over the weekend or definitely on Tuesday (Neither happended The battery eventually turned up 5 days late. I have since called in twice to discuss and ask for a refund. Both times I was told customer services were busy but they would email them and they would call me lat being yesterday morning 10(To date I have still not had a call!) And to add insult to injury I get this email asking how did we do? Hence such a scathing review. Maybe a manager might read this and call me 07860 663172

Dear Kevin, Thank you for getting in touch. We did respond to your email that you sent via our customer contact form, regarding the tracking on your order. Your order was placed on the 27th of April and dispatched the same day, your tracking states that the courier attempted delivery on the 28th April. As they were unable to deliver, your parcel was then taken back to the depot and prepared again for delivery. The fact that the courier attempted to deliver your parcel in the stated 24 hour time period, we have fulfilled our obligation for the next day delivery service. Furthermore you could have replied to our email at any time as you were dealing with the correct person for your query. We would have liked for the redelivery to have been sooner, the delay was due to the bank holiday weekend. Kind Regards, Carol

The product ordered has not arrived after 15 days. I telephoned to ask on timing. The call went straight to voicemail and I have not heard back yet. Not recommended

Dry quick delivery, however the battery was not as described. Not all cells were soldered so more like 5amp hour than 9!

Hi David, Thanks for the review that is for someone else. We didn’t sell you any battery at all which was solderable or had a capacity of 9Ah. We sold you some GP and Varta miniature batteries and some Duracell Photo Lithium. I presume you bought a sealed lead acid battery from a different website. Dear Customer, You emailed us to tell us that you'd bought a number of different watch batteries, not just from us, but from different suppliers; and different brands - and you'd found all of them to be below 1.55V. Our own products alone, from Energizer have been sold to thousands of customers including professional watch repair shops, and we've had no issues whatsoever reported back. So of course we find it hard to believe that a single customer would have so many issues with all the different brands of the same battery, bought from various suppliers. We explained that using none specific home testing equipment such as a multimeter would unlikely give a valid test result due to the load not being set correctly and have a different current draw and resistance. My opinion doesn't matter because I've left voicemails and nobodies replied to me. Also left a comment on Facebook with no response as well. Ordered a CR123 battery and the pack arrived opened. Tried to request a new one and have been completely ignored. Can't contact via the phone, only leave a message. Avoid!

Having been given two delivery dates by Yodel Couriers, the first one having been cancelled due to insufficient notice, my order never arrived on the second date. I contacted Battery Station to request my order be returned to them as I was going to be away from home for some time after the failed delivery and, quite frankly, wasn't prepared to waste another day sitting at home for an order that might/might not arrive. Yodel gave me a pack of lies as to why my parcel was not delivered but I found out later that it boiled down to the fact that the courier had far too many deliveries and couldn't realistically deliver them all. I found the Managing Director of Battery Station to be pompous, arrogant, accusatory, unreasonable and downright rude. I was advised to never order from the company again - as if I would want to! If it was possible to give a zero star I would but I am unable to do this. Very bad experience all round. Plus it's getting quite tedious having to go through call centres in South Africa, Yodel being one of many who have their centres there!

Dear Customer, Let's establish some facts regarding this case. What you have completely omitted is the reason that the issue occurred in the first place. You have an address which is around the back of a property. Your solution to this, was to stuff lots of instructions into the address itself, therefore deviating this address from the official recorded address. This created a situation where the couriers software could not make a match to your correct address. The correct course of action would have been to use your correct address (As suggested correctly from our postcode address tool), and then add instructions to the delivery via the Yodel website or app. This option is provided to you within the email that Yodel send you. The issue was not as you have written in this review that ‘I found out later that it boiled down to the fact that the courier had far too many deliveries and couldn't realistically deliver them all’. This claim is false. We have spoken to Yodel who conducted an investigation. We explained this to you, that we rely on accurate addresses being entered into our website as once we have dispatched an item, we have very limited control of redirecting and editing addresses. Even though we can requests to do so, items are often lost by that stage. You paid £3.25 for a 1-2 day courier. This is low cost courier service, and not white glove, and besides could have happened on any courier. Instead of allowing us to try and resolve the situation, you launched multiple tirades by email reply, about how we were lying to you and how another courier was able to find it without any issue at all. You demanded refunds before the delivery period had expired and would not accept any responsibility that the address you entered was what has caused the issue. There was no need for you to go through call centres in South Africa. Any communication with Yodel could be done via the chat on their app or website, or by completing instructions for delivery. In terms of criticism to our managing director, all of the staff who worked on your ticket found you to be unreasonable, rude and entitled. Your lack of constructive engagement was replaced by your anger at hearing an explanation that involved your blame, to which you would not consider at all. When people are trying to help you and you accuse them of lying, you should not be surprised when their attitude towards you changes. We absolutely stand by our request that you do not order from us again. The staff here work very hard to provide a high level of service to our customers. When things go wrong we do whatever we can to resolve them. We're not prepared to supply items to a faulty address, and then be heavily blamed for their non-delivery; nor are we prepared to deal with huge emails seeking to blame us for absolutely everything that occurs thereafter.
