“Wonderful holiday, excellent service by Balkan Escapes. Transfers all very good and on time. Accommodation very good and breakfasts. Good value. Only one negative comment. The welcome in Dubrovnik was a bit cursory although the accommodation was fine. The breakfast in Dubrovnik was not good - serve yourself coffee (not very delicious) machine for whole restaurant of people, so took 10 minutes to get coffee in morning standing up. One waiter serving whole restaurant. Had a rather stale croissant so didn't bother using our voucher second day and went elsewhere. That is the only downside. I will be recommending you to any friends who fancy going to Croatia.”

“Another excellent holiday to the Dalmatian Coast, staying on Hvar and Brač. We also visited the Makarska Riviera on the Croatia Mainland. Couldn't fault any aspect of our holiday. The flights were all on time or early. The Hotels in Hvar Town (Amfora Grand Hotel) and in Bol on Brač (Hotel Elephusa) were very good, ideal locations with great facilities and close to many fantastic beaches and easy walking distance of towns with many great restaurants and bars. The road transfers to and from Split airport to the Port were comfortable, on time with excellent drivers. Even when there was a slight hiccup when our original Ferry from Hvar to Bol was cancelled due to tidal conditions, Jack (Balkan Escape) contacted us direct and arranged an alternative Ferry transfer and emailed the Tickets within a couple of hours. Bol is an ideal location to stay on Brač, just a 35 minutes ferry ride to Makarska on the mainland, we will definitely be visiting again and again using Balkan Escape. Every detail of your holiday is taken care of and this NOT reflected in the price that you pay as they are very competitive.”

“We had a fantastic holiday in Croatia. Jack understood our preferences and our trip exactly matched them. It was good to have tickets and passes printed and sent to us and the app with itinerary and suggestions was very helpful. Everything, from flights to transfers, ran to schedule and both hotels were perfect. We would use again if we are visiting the region.”

“We have just returned from a 3 centre holiday to Croatia and were delighted with the service provided by Jack at Balkan Escapes. All the hotels were amazing and in great locations. All our transfers were perfectly timed and well organized. It was great to be able to choose from the range of accomodation which were all of good quality and were tailored to suit our budget. Also it was great to have any the knowledge that someone was on the end ofa phone should we have needed any help (which we didn't). Thank you once again and we hope to visit Montenegro and maybe another Balkan country in the future. We would have no hesitation in booking thorugh Balkan Escapes again.”

“We were very pleased with the balance between suggestions being made for our itinerary and being able to tailor timings and costs to make a bespoke holiday. Customer service was very good, we were informed at each stage of information we needed to make choices or to plan well. We felt comfortable in all three locations - two hotels and an apartment. Possibly the second hotel was more of a climb than we had anticpated but we were kept fit! All transfers were immaculate in punctuality and with helpful text confirmations the night before. We wouldn't hesitate to use Balkan Escapes again now that we know they serve other geogrphical areas too.”

“We had such a wonderful experience booking our holiday through Balkan Escape! From the very beginning, the team really listened to what we were looking for and built an itinerary that ticked all the boxes. It felt very personal to us, and we managed to see and do everything we had hoped for during our time in Croatia. The accommodation was excellent – both the hotel and the apartment were in fantastic locations, and if anything, they were even better in person than we expected. The private transfers were also a real highlight: luxury vehicles, friendly drivers, and everything ran so smoothly. The service from Balkan Escape was brilliant throughout. The team worked (and reworked!) the details of our trip until everything was just right, and it really showed. It made the whole experience stress-free, and we felt very well looked after. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to make it clearer online which countries they cover. If most destinations are available, it would be great to see that upfront when browsing. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to book through Balkan Escape again – in fact, I’ve already recommended them to my family after such a positive experience. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable holiday – we’ll definitely be back!”

“Being a working single parent of two young adults in full time education I was struggling to find the time to seek something they both would enjoy. Balkan Escape were extremely helpful with recommendations and ideas, not overwhelming me with options and patient with my timing of responses. We had a great trip, 4 nights in Split and 3 in Dubrovnik, excellent door to door service. Both hotels were very well located and welcoming staff. The information provided was clear and timely. “This is the second time we have used Balkan Escape and have been very pleased with both the service before the holiday and the smoothness of the arrangements during the holiday. From an initial outline of what we wanted, Jack prepared an outline proposal and options which needed very little tweaking. We were given information about the local area and suggested trips/activities based on our initial enquiry. All the travel documents arrived in good time and the arrangements (flights, car hire, transfers, hotel bookings) all went smoothly. The whole service felt personal and professional.”

“I wanted to see Plitvice Lakes and Split and asked Balkan Escape to help. They suggested hotels and tours for me to choose between. Plitvice was a paradise - the most astounding place. We visited on 2 consecutive days and barely noticed that we walked 20km each day as the scenery was so captivating. The 'hotel' turned out to be just a room which confused me at first but I came to understand that it was fitting to the environment. Plitvice is such a rural idyll that swish corporate type hotels would not be right. The Balkan Escape choice was much more respectful to the local environment amd people. We stayed in Imperial House Rooms. The breakfast was substantial and meant we didn't eat then until dinner and visited the local bistros within walking distance. Our hotel on Split was perfect. Beautifully clean, fantastic staff and generous breakfast. The Palace was just there and the beach 15 minutes walk. We had a dental emergency and within minutes of us arriving the wonderful receptionist Dora had organised a dentist for us, an user to get there (through her account as we didn't have one) and then an user to collect us and take us to the beach. We were very grateful. Maja at the hotel suggested walks and restaurants and we followed her suggestions gratefully. All.organisation was done by Bslkan Escape and could not have been smoother. This included flights and check-ins and transport from airports to hotels and between hotels. All taxis turned up exactly on time and we're comfortable. Hotels were ready for our early check-ins. This made for a very relaxing and easy holiday.”

“First rate service from Jack at Balkan Escape. From calling back at the appointed times, to taking on board everything we wanted for our holiday, the attention to detail was exceptional. Everything was very smooth (booking, communication, paperwork, all transfers) and our accommodations were exactly as expected (stunning seaview from out Dubrovnik apartment - definitely worth the bit extra). “We had a fantastic holiday to Split, Brac and Hvar arranged by Balkan Escapes, everything from the airport transfers, hotels and ferry transfers ran smoothly. Cannot fault the level of service provided from all at Balkan Escapes and nothing was too much trouble when helping plan an itinary, a range of accomodation was proposed for us to choose from and any changes dealt with efficiently. It was niced to have someone look out for us when a ferry was cancelled due to windy weather an alternative was arranged and tickets emailed promptly. I would definately book with Balkan Escapes again and would not hesitate to reccomend to family and friends.”

“We had a fabulous holiday with Balkan Escape. The holiday was tailored to our needs and we really liked that we were given three hotel choices at each resort. The hotels were all really good. We had a lovely rooms , two with stunning views ,one at Lake Bled and one in Piran. The transfers were always early and the drivers, polite and helpful. It was really helpful to have suggestions of activities for our time in each place. We hired bikes in Lake Bled and Piran and there is a good infrastructure for cyclists. It would have been useful to know that the popular restaurants in Ljubljana get booked up at least a week before as we could have booked them in advance. We will definitely use Balcon Escapes again, and we’ve already recommended them to our friends and family.”

“Great holiday to Croatia (Rovinj, Zadar and Split) with Balkan Escape. Especially loved the hotel in Rovinj, the Villa Tuttorotto. The staff were incredibly hospitable and gracious and our bedroom had a stunning view of the harbour. Private transfers were superb. Friendly drivers, always on time. The whole experience of giving Jack at Balkan Escape our budget and where we wanted to visit to completing the trip was easy and most enjoyable. Croatia is a beautiful country and Balkan Escape has the knowledge and experience to deliver the perfect holiday. Would totally recommend.”

“We have had a brilliant second trip to Croatia. Cannot rate the Princ heritage rooms enough the proximity to the local sights was brilliant, sitting in the square listening to the music every night and the breakfast at Bokeria kitchen and wine was amazing. We then moved on to a second trip to Dubrovnik this time we got to experience the evenings there. Food at Lady Pi Pi was lovely with great company and views of the city. Our last stop was Hotel Bozica, the perfect place to switch off and relax, saying that we did go for a walk across the island and we also managed a couple of runs in the scorching heat! The food and service there is fabulous, the staff are a credit to the hotel. We will be returning as there is a lot more that Croatia has to offer.”
