“The service we received from Jack and Hannah was excellent. I gave a brief idea of where we wanted to go and Jack suggested a perfect itinerary with a choice of three hotels in each destination. The hotels were extremely comfortable with very good food and a set price buffet dinner in two of them. The choices were good and the prices were good value. All three hotels were conveniently situated for the sights we wanted to see. The hotel in Split didn't offer offer dinner but the manager suggested three very good restaurants for each evening. The pick ups from and to the airports were prompt with lovely drivers and the ferry booked for us from Hvar to Split worked very well. The excellent organisation made it stress free and therefore thoroughly enjoyable for us. We would certainly recommend Balkan Escapes and have no hesitation in booking again with them.”

“Excellent service from start to finish and can highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble and when a boat transfer was cancelled due to weather Jack called me to advise and had booked a coach transfer instead which was incredibly efficient. Many thanks to all involved”

“Our holiday to Croatia went smoothly from start to finish. Everything went according to plan, from the flights, transfers, ferries,to the hotels. All was as expected. Can't commend Jack at Balkan Escape enough for the meticulous planning and execution of the holiday package.The attention to detail has not been lost, for example, the documents received were presented in due date order. Saved looking through all the sheets of paper to locate the relevant documents. We would have no hesitation in recommending Balkan Escape.”

“our holiday to Criatia was vewry well organised and straightforward. all of the flights /transfers were smooth. Cavtat was an ideal destination for us , lovely setting , good selection of restaurants. The Hotel Croatia was very comfotable , a big hotel which never felt crowded. Breakfast was excellent . There are a lot of steps though , so be prepared (though the buggy service is excellent ) Christine Campbell”

“Our planned itinerary was tailored to exactly what we wanted by our consultant Jack who was extremely helpful and took lots of trouble to ensure this was the case. “Balkan Escape provided us with the perfect holiday for our needs. We wanted to see some of the bigger National Parks in Croatia, and Balkan Escape provided the best solution. They arranged the flights, hotels (3 different areas of Croatia) and the transportation between each hotel, and to and from the airport. They recommended options for seeing the National Parks, with suggestions of excursions, bus timetables etc. They answered all my questions in the run up to the holiday and were constantly helpful. The hotels were nice 4* hotels, and the drivers for the transfers were all prompt and efficient. I would recommend this company to help with travel needs and would definitely use them again.”

We wanted to spend a week in Croatia & it was suggested we divided that time between Split & Dubrovnic which worked very well.”

“Very helpful, responsive and all the arrangements worked perfectly. It was a pleasure to deal with their staff. Our holiday was arranged at relatively short notice and so the choice of hotels was limited but even so we were offered several well located alternatives in each location and the room options were made clear. Balkan Escape provided comprehensive instructions and advice about the airport transfers and ferry journeys. Our detailed itinerary included much useful information about attractions and potential excursions in each resort.”

“Excellent company. Pre-holiday information was very informative. Hotels were excellent and as described. Transfers were seamless, taxi company contacted me prior to pick up, so no waiting or hanging around wondering if they would turn up. If you are thinking of a holiday in this region definitely give Balkan Escape an opportunity to put together their package deal. We live in Somerset so have previously used local companies. It was an unknown finding a company online that was nowhere near us. Highly recommend Balkan Escape, far better than the named high street companies we have previously used.”

“We very much enjoyed both the journey with Balkan Escape and the holiday that they put together for us. It really took the pain out of doing all the research ourselves and was a reasonable cost. It was great to actually be able to speak to someone and explain our preferences. Within 2 iterations we had a great itinerary. Hotels and locations were brilliant. It'd be great if, for future holidays, Balkan Escape could arrange airport car parking as well. Just a thought.”

“Jack at Balkan Escape came up with a 2 centre itinerary Dubrovnik & Korcula that suited exactly what we wanted and took the stress off us booking everything individually ourselves. He was on hand constantly through email and quick to respond to any queries. Guesthouse 44 in Dubrovnik was outstanding, the food, restaurant, location and staff couldn't do enough for you, it offered a very personal service. Hotel Liburna on Korcula had a great location and amazing views of the beautiful old town just a 10 min walk away. The breakfast offered was exceptional with so much choice and staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms could have done with a little more TLC for 4 star but overall we enjoyed our stay there. Our flights, private transfers and ferry crossings all went very smoothly. This was a different kind of trip for us in a country we'd not travelled to before and we really did feel very looked after. I'd definitely recommend Balkan Escape, a big thank you to the team from us.”

“We had a lovely holiday in Croatia. Balkan Escape organised everything we asked for and it all went smoothly. The 3 hotels were ideally placed for the activities we were doing and were the type of hotels we had specified. The staff in all 3 hotels were kind and welcoming, providing lots of helpful information about the area as well as excellent service. The transfers between hotels occurred exactly as planned. The drivers were polite and professional. They also gave us interesting and useful information about Croatia. This is the second time we have used Balkan Escape and we will use them again if we return to the Balkans.”

“Can I write a long review please, choose what you use 1 airport links really helpful and saved stress of going and froing 2 coach travel round Croatia was great reliable, on time and clean 3 would have preferred the option of a sea view where possible and would have paid more for that if asked, some of the supposed views were a bit of a misnomer eg street view was there but from the bathroom window! 4 accommodation in Pula was good the owner was really helpful and friendly- gave us walnut liquor, olive oil 5 2 hours on the coach was long enough at one stretch 6 luxury room in Split were very well situated but not luxury, whiffy plumbing and poor view 7 karlovac very handy for the bus station and staff in hotel friendly and good-humoured 8 zadar hotel lovely, staff offered another room as we were early checking in 9 we had a good mix of town and country, going inland was great to see the mountains 10 national parks were expensive and Krka very crowded return buses at 14:00 or 19:00 so proved a bit of a challenge 11 we really enjoyed the travelling around and seeing the countryside 12 most people we met were really helpful and friendly 13 saw dolphins in Opatiya that was marvellous and made our day 14 went to Ravinji by bus which was easy otherwise walked in the countryside 15 in grabovacwalking along the road on a hot day turned a corner and there was a caffe- bar smiles all round!!! 16 think that's enough but happy to answer more questions if you want”

“You never know how good a company is until you have a problem. We had a major problem which meant we needed to postpone our holiday for a year. It took one email to explain our situation and everything was sorted. If we had booked it ourselves we would have lost a lot of money and would have had a lot of hassle. I cannot recommend Jack highly enough. The hotels were great, everything went very smoothly and Croatia was amazing.”
