"We used Balkan Escapes again in 2026 for our holiday in Sicily, following a previous holiday to Croatia and Montenegro. Jack was able to walk us through the best places to visit on the Island and make hotel recommendations, both of which turned out to be fabulous!!! We really value the experience the company offers and the simplicity of making the booking even down to the pre check in of our flights !!! They also provided advice of obtaining additional insurance for our car hire we was invaluable during our discussions with a very sales focussed member of the car hire team at the car rental pick up. Overall a wonderful holiday and fantastic service provided by Balkan Escapes and Jack "

"An excellent holiday, with four days in Ljubljana and six at Lake Bled. Jack at Balkan Escape understood our brief at the outset, and provided a couple of options to choose from (flight times, hotels, times in each location) so we were able to look at those and choose the most suitable. All the communications from Balkan Escape were clear and in good time, and made everything very simple. The airport transfers and transfer between hotels used local taxis which were on time and very efficient. The hotels were both clean, comfortable and exactly as expected (Hotel Park has an indoor pool, which is excellent when it's >35degC outside). We organised our trips seperately as we didn't know in advance what days we would want to do things, but we chose from those that Jack had recommended. The 3glav trip from Bled to the Triglav National Park was superb, as were the caves at Postojina. Lubliana is small, so four days (with a day out to the caves) was more than enough. Bled is even smaller, but it's a good base to visit other places and it's beautiful in its own right. \r\nAll in all an excellent holiday in a beautiful country, and would highly recommend Slovenia and Balkan Escape."

"Outstanding service, like having a personal assistant!\r\nFrom our very first contact with Balkan Escapes, we were looked after by Jack, who put together an excellent itinerary and provided a great selection of hotels to choose from. We had to change our travel dates several times, but Jack was incredibly accommodating and tailored everything to our needs without any hassle.\r\nThe hotel in Dubrovnik was a fantastic choice (Hotel Lapad), ideally located near the marina and within easy reach of the boat trips. It was also only a 10-minute Uber ride to the Old Town, making it the perfect base for exploring the area.\r\nAll transfers ran smoothly, and our time in Montenegro was equally superb. The overall value for money was excellent, especially considering Balkan Escapes organised absolutely everything for us. Communication was outstanding throughout the booking process.\r\nPayment was straightforward and secure via bank transfer, and all required travel documents were provided promptly. As an added bonus, check-in for both our outbound and return flights was completed on our behalf. Providing passport information was also simple, requiring only a few photos sent via WhatsApp.\r\nThe only minor issue was that the transfer from Dubrovnik to Kotor was estimated at around 2 hours 15 minutes, whereas the journey actually took closer to 3 hours 30 minutes. However, this was a very small point in an otherwise flawless experience.\r\nOverall, everything was handled professionally and efficiently, and we couldn't have asked for a better service. We would definitely use Balkan Escapes again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free holiday."
