“Booking process efficient and the packaged itinerary and attached tickets / transfers worked well. Accomodation in Split (Amphora) was excellent and high spec. Valamar Lacroma, Dubrovnik was OK, not exceptional and shame we had no views for the bedroom. Aminess, Korcula was small but pleasant hotel and good for a few days trip. Suggested activities were generally useful as a guide to what was available. Thoroughly recommend multi island day trips from Split as a highlight. Uber in Split was cheap to the Old Town though the bus to Old Town Dubrovnik was long and congested given the hotel location 2.5 miles from town centre. Overall enjoyed the 10 day trip and would consider future trips. When giving a budget for the trip as we did, it isn’t immediately clear what you would be getting for your money. Ie our £1500 x 4 budget for 10 days was what we chose but had I suggested £2500 x 4, would it have been substantially different? At the time of booking we were unaware. Maybe a options might have been helpful at the booking time”

“This was the first time we have booked with Balkan Tours. If possible in future I would always use them for all our holiday bookings. Our advisor Jack Fleming was outstanding. We originally booked in 2020 for my 50th birthday holiday in 2021 but due to Covid restrictions we were unable to travel. At all times Jack kept us informed of changes and country restrictions in Croatia. His service is second to none. We had not traveled to Croatia before and his knowledge and advise for the 10 nights multi centre stay we booked was exceptional. The hotels in Dubrovnik (Hotel More) and Korcula (Hotel Liburna) were just perfect the only change we would have made was the hotel Marvie in Split, it was just a super Hotel but needed a taxi ride into town rather than being able to walk in and out as we would prefer. This is purely personal preference on our part. The local knowledge and advice we received from Jack helped our holiday become a wonderful trip and we would highly recommend Jack and Balkan Tours for your holiday tour operator. Thank you for organising the best holiday for us all.”

“This is our third holiday with Balkan Escape and I cannot recommend them enough. Clear, timely communication and attention to detail. Our holiday surpassed our expectations and met our needs, for our two active boys. I don’t like busy or touristy places and budget has to be carefully managed. Jack at Balkan Escape listens carefully and tailors the most amazing trip. We absolutely love the Balkans, picture postcard scenery. We would not book a holiday with anyone else.”

“This is the 4th time we have used Balkan Escape and this has been the best yet. We were undecided exactly where we wanted to go but definitely wanted to visit Croatia and the Adriatic Coast. We have Jack our specific needs which were vast given we were going to be going with 2 children and also my Wife’s parents also (a lot of people to please) he recommended Amarin Family Hotel in Rovinj after much discussions and back and forth we put our full trust in his recommendations. He certainly delivered and more the place was amazing, everything from transfers, flights and hotels were smooth and pain free and kept us in contact throughout. “We booked a holiday with Balkan escape several months ago, and our initial contact was with Jack. He assisted us from the off, enabling us to choose the holiday which best suited our family needs, with a city and island-based holiday in Croatia, including follow-up by suggested tours and restaurants. We received paperwork from the company when expected, including pre-checked in flights which was most reassuring given the current uncertainties. Jack was very knowledgeable about the area and during our stay, we continued to make requests which were promptly dealt with. The quality of accommodation was excellent and the locations fantastic. I would have no qualms in recommending Balkan Escape as a company with specialist knowledge of the area, and in whom local recommendations for hotels, restaurants etc can be trusted. We enjoyed the holiday so much that we will almost certainly use the company again for something similar in the coming years - it is rare to have this level of personal service and reassurance. “First time trip with Balkan Escape. 100% satisfied with all aspects. Jack was extremely helpful (tolerant!) with our requests to re-jig the itinerary. All aspects were great. All hotels were v good. All transfers happened on time and the recommended “things to do” were all worthwhile/enjoyable. First time in Croatia and very impressed. Locals were all very welcoming and all locations were multi-nationality - hence the standard of spoken English was higher than it is in England. No hesitation in recommending Balkan Escape to anyone considering a trip to Croatia.”
