“Balkan Escape provided an excellent service right from our first enquiry. They gave good recommendations and helpful advice on where to go in Croatia with a selection of possible hotels. We were able to easily put our perfect itinerary together which took in Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik. All the travel and transfers were extremely smooth and ran perfectly to time. We had an issue with one of our hotels but Balkan Escape responded quickly to this and also gave us a free trip which was much appreciated. The other hotels were excellent. We particularly liked the Trip Plans app which was a super easy way of checking on the holiday details. It also enables you to contact the travel consultants easily. Heather and Jack were our consultants and both responded with great efficiency to all our queries. We would definitely recommend using Balkan Escape and would happily use them again. Thanks for a great holiday.”

Then when I had to move the holiday and then later come home early, the organised it so efficiently. They got us home the next day, following a Friday evening call. Outstanding.”

“Balkan Escape tailored a great 10-day trip to Croatia for us; combining the islands we wanted to visit within the times we could travel. We appreciated the flexibility offered to choose between available hotels/rooms. All the documentation was accurate and helpful, the hotels were excellent and as described. We were impressed with the punctuality of the transfers (car and boat), and the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff we met. When rough weather on our penultimate day meant an unplanned transfer to a hotel on shore (to ensure we made our flight home), this was organised extremely efficiently. We would definitely consider booking with Balkan Escape for trips to other destinations.”

“Great service from Jack and the team. All aspects of the holiday to Split and Dubrovnik ran smoothly which incuded flights, private transfers, ferry and hotels. Excellent timely communication on all aspects of the holiday including suggestions for additional excursions during our stay. “The customer service was outstanding. First of all they understood exactly what I wanted and found the perfect itinerary. Every detail was covered. Then I had to move the holiday which they did very efficiently, then finally I had to cut it short due to illness. Last thing in a Friday they moved our return flights and transfer to Saturday morning!!! I am so grateful to them.”

“We booked this trip with short notice just a month before and to be honest it must be the best organised holiday we’ve been on! The transfers and ferry crossings between the islands of Brac and Hvar and finally Split went smoothly and all on time. The accommodation was perfect and close to restaurants and sightseeing. We had no headaches of looking to book ferries or taxis it was completely seamless with everything arranged for us! The service from our initial enquiry was speedy with an itinerary proposed which was then tweaked on recommendations by Heather. It really could not have been better! We had an amazing time in Croatia, and would highly recommend using Balkan escapes to book a holiday through. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and will be telling our friends and family about them, it was a perfect holiday!!!”

“Balkan Escape were a pleasure to deal with. The booking process was very smooth and they were very helpful in going over the options for our trip to Croatia. The recommended hotels in Split and Dubrovnic were excellent. The airport and ferry transfers were efficient and on time. If we go back to Croatia I would probably spend more time on the islands. Hvar is very beuatiful and from there smaller islands can be explored. We did not get to visit the Elaphiti Islands (Balkan Holidays recommended we go there) but wished we had done. Dubrovnic is a very atmospheric city but gets very crowded so get there v early in the morning and/or out of season. Walking round the top of the City Walls is a must but again best get there early and be aware that it is quite strenuous up and down steep steps and takes up to 1.5 hours to do the whole thing. I would be very happy to use Balkan Holidays again and to recommend them to others”

“All aspects of our experience with Balkan Escape were very good, from our pre-booking consultations to making the booking and the holiday arrangements themselves. Jack helped us with planning how we could put together the two-centre break in Dubrovnik and Kotor, responded to our preferred amendments, and made all the arrangements for us including flights, hotels and taxi transfers. Suggestions were given for how to fill our days in Croatia and Montenegro, such as days out and boat trips. As usual on our holidays, we had a very busy two weeks, including sightseeing, visiting museums and walking on the surrounding hills. The hotels were very good quality and the taxis were on time and friendly! All the information was communicated to us well in advance, and we were updated about where the taxi would collect us when it could not be directly at the hotel because of traffic congestion. We would certainly recommend Balkan Escape to anyone wishing to visit the area.”
