“I cannot recommend Balkan Escapes, and Jack especially, highly enough. What started as a tentative enquiry for ideas quickly became a well planned week holiday. With no experience of the region it would have taken me hours to get the knowledge that Jack was able to impart in no time. We to-ed and fro-ed a bit on hotel, but ultimately (and quickly) his recommendations were perfect for a mother/daughter trip: 3 days in a really fabulous b&b in Split (which lives up to its fantastic TripAdvisor reviews) and then 4 days in a gorgeous Dubrovnik hotel which my 15 year old was delighted to see was being featured at the same time by one of her TikTokers who was there on holiday, A real treat, all transfers catered for and with perfect instructions for each leg of the journey. Would definitely use again.”

“Balkan Escape booked us a wonderful 10 day holiday starting in Split, moving onto the island of Korcula and then finishing in Dubrovnik. All went very smoothly. The hotel facilities were good and were in good locations. We enjoyed our stays in all three. Originally, we had chosen a hotel at Dubrovnik Marina but Jack kindly let us know about over-running roadworks outside this hotel that would affect our stay there. He offered to change our hotel and gave us another two options to choose from. We would highly recommend using Balkan Escape to book your holiday because of the excellent customer service we received and would definitely use them again in the future.”

“As someone who likes to do all the organising, it was a massive leap of faith to put arrangements for the main holiday this year in someone else's hands! But we wanted to see as much of Croatia as we could and the multiple venue nature of the holiday was doing my head in, as was trying to get the flights we wanted. Jack took care of all of it. We did Split (3 nights), Korcula (4) and Dubrovnik (3). For each stop we were given multiple choices of hotel depending on what we were looking for and ideas for what to do. Each hotel was exactly what we wanted - the quality and location for each was spot on. Jack literally took care of everything, right down to checking us in on our flights. Would thoroughly recommend Balkan Escapes and we're already thinking about Slovenia and Montenegro next Summer.”

I thought the day trip ideas were very helpful, to the email saying our flight was delayed by 10 mins. “We had a great holiday in Croatia and everything Jack had sorted for us worked well, ran smoothly and was of a high standard. The Hotels he recommended were excellent ( he even changed one at the last minute due to building work) and all the transfers went very smoothly . It was reassuring to know everything had been sorted beforehand and made it all less stressful. With hindsight we wished we had not finished in Split , as that was the busiest place ( and extremely hot) and we personally preferred the quieter islands . We also made the mistake of thinking it would be ok to walk to the hotels with our suitcases. It was just too hot and there was a slight uphill climb to both. Overall the holiday was brilliant and we would definitely recommend Balkan Escapes and use them again.”

“From start to finish, Jack was brilliant at recommending places and was very prompt and patient coming back to me with all my questions. even when I encountered trouble abroad needing medical attention and Jack was very helpful when I needed to change my booking. It made me change my mind instead of booking independently to always use a travel agent like Balkan for when things don’t always go to plan. I highly recommend Balkan and Croatia!”

“We had a wonderful time in Croatia and Montenegro. Jack did a brilliant job of putting together a bespoke itinerary that was just what we wanted. His hotel recommendations were spot on and the flights, car transfers and ferries bookings were great. All six of the family really enjoyed it. The only tiny quibble was that the car transfer company was late twice and we only just made one ferry by the skin of our teeth.”
