“Booked our holiday to Dubrovnik and Montenegro through Jack at Balkan Escapes after reading the excellent reviews online and wasn't disappointed. Jack was engaging from the off and provided advice on resorts as we hadn't visited the region before. Service was excellent from start to finish and Jack answered any questions we had, often answering emails out of working hours. The holiday itinerary went to plan without any issues whatsoever. Flights, hotels and transfers all included at a very competitive price. I would have no hesitation in using Balkan Escapes again or recommending to friends or family. Many thanks Jack for putting together our wonderful holiday.”

“Jack was very helpful and knowledgeable as we tried to put a trip together. He was also very efficient - calls and emails happened when he said they would and he dealt with all the details. Hotel recommendations were made on personal knowledge of the hotels. Consequently we felt well assured that all would go to plan - which it did. On a 2 centre trip all transfers worked well and when 1 taxi was unavoidably detained in traffic the driver contacted us and was extremely good company on our journey (Dominick🙂). We would all use Balkan Escapes again and happily recommend that you try them.”

“Thank you, Balkan Escapes, for helping us find our perfect holiday. Everything went unbelievably smoothly (with the exception of the French Air Traffic Control strike on the way home delaying us by an hour). Accommodation was perfect, and we absolutely loved both Split and Brac (Bol). Instructions were clear and precise and just as described. I’ll definitely be recommending BE to anyone considering a holiday to that part of the world… Montenegro next on the list! 😎”

“This is a really good company that puts its customers first and foremost. The service is excellent from initial enquiry to getting you home. A case in point is that three of our inter-island ferries were cancelled but Jack was proactive and thorough, ensuring that alternatives were found and tickets emailed to us. I can certainly recommend Balkan Escape”

“Found that most places on Hvar wouldn't accept cards, only cash. Internet did not work at Zephyrus, & they had no English TV channels. All accommodation & transfers good. Got lost finding hotel in Split, better directions needed, Google maps not effective in small back alleys.”

“From the day we decided to go to Plitvice National Park Croatia and we found Balkan Escapes we were fully supported with prompt replies with ideas helpful suggestions and advice from Jack. We took up their suggestions and booked. The flights the connections from Zagreb airport to our hotel and back out to the rental car pick up. The hotels the car hire everything was well organized for us. Any inquiries or queries were dealt with quickly. We had a wonderful holiday with no worries.”

“Dubrovnik and Sipan Island exceeded my expectations. Jack made very helpful suggestions regarding our holiday. I was trying to pack too much in. Sipan was just beautiful, fabulous location for rest and recuperation plus wonderful sightseeing opportunities. Dubrovnik has a magical air. Walking round the walls is a must and the cable car up Mt Srd with its history and views was wonderful. Transfers all worked well and we would certainly use the expertise of Balkan Escape for any future trips to Croatia.”

“The service from Balkan Escape and in particular Jack is nothing short of excellent. Jack must have composed about 7 different packages and cost estimates for us and never ran out of patience and enthusiasm. He was determined to create the perfect experience for us as a family of 5 and one which suited our purse too. Added to that, all the extra information regarding transfers and possible ferries which we might want to book ourselves etc, we were left wanting for absolutely nothing and felt supported throughout the entire led up to the holiday and beyond. Indeed upon our return and highlighting a slight error, the acknowledgment and compensation was immediate. Very refreshing in this day and age and a company with whom you can comfortably trust to be on your side and do the right thing.”

“This was the fourth holiday we have booked through Balkan Escape and as always the service provided was first class. We actually booked this holiday in November 2019 and throughout the disruption caused by Covid, Jack kept us informed and enabled us to postpone our booking until this summer. All details of the holiday such as the transfers and bookings were very well organised. “Our first trip as a family of four to Croatia and it was wonderful! We stayed at Split, then the island of Brac, then Dubrovnik - all expertly organised by Jack at Balkan Escape. Our teen kids - usually hardcore Greek-island-holiday fans - absolutely loved it (as did we), and Croatia exceeded our expectations. “I would thoroughly recommend Balkan Escapes. Jack was very helpful from his first suggested itinerary and incorporating the changes we requested. The hotels were all good. The transfers were on time and the ferry tickets all in order. Our only problem was delays on the flight leaving Gatwick but that was down to easyJet and the weather rather than Balkan Escapes. Croatia is a fantastic country to visit tans Balkan Escapes made it easy to tour around and see as much as we did”

“This was the first time we have booked with Balkan Tours. If possible in future I would always use them for all our holiday bookings. Our advisor Jack Fleming was outstanding. We originally booked in 2020 for my 50th birthday holiday in 2021 but due to Covid restrictions we were unable to travel. At all times Jack kept us informed of changes and country restrictions in Croatia. His service is second to none. We had not traveled to Croatia before and his knowledge and advise for the 10 nights multi centre stay we booked was exceptional. The hotels in Dubrovnik (Hotel More) and Korcula (Hotel Liburna) were just perfect the only change we would have made was the hotel Marvie in Split, it was just a super Hotel but needed a taxi ride into town rather than being able to walk in and out as we would prefer. This is purely personal preference on our part. The local knowledge and advice we received from Jack helped our holiday become a wonderful trip and we would highly recommend Jack and Balkan Tours for your holiday tour operator. Thank you for organising the best holiday for us all.”
