As usual I got an excellent rate (compared to two others), confirmation that you'd received my funds, and confirmation that it'd been sent to my new bank account. I couldnt ask for more and will continue to use your services. I'll probably not bother comparing your rates any more as I've now used you 3 times and you've always come up trumps......

Prompt, friendly, professional and flexible -- and with good rates to boot. Also appreciate their ability to cover for each other if your main contact is, for example, in a meeting.

The SEPA transfer arrived quickly in my foreign bank account. The only issue I have is with the online trading forms and process which are not that, but pdf part filled forms. Unless you can edit the forms you have to print them. Then there is a 'real' authorising signature required. In most business situations a signature is not recognised as valid authentication if copied and pasted electronically. As far as I could see, the only way to return the completed instruction with a valid signature was to sign the form, drag out an old fax machine and send by FAX, I felt uneasy that the essential details of my receiving bank were not input by me but first sent by email then transcribed on to transfer forms with a risk of possible errors and time spent by me re-checking details in case of mistakes. If I input details copied and pasted into an electronic form, then I am responsible for their accuracy and the data should be passed 'as is' to any final instructions. If an account with the necessary authentication access has already been set up then I can't see why secure communication could not be sent through the account and replies sent back electronically avoiding seperate emails. Currency transfer seems to be a mix of modern electronic and old style paper and should be reviewed so that from the customer perspective, it becomes a smooth 'all electronic' transaction process. If security is a concern, then apply stricter controls above a certain currency trade value. The complete transaction process with all communications from a customer perspective should reside in the online account. Consider how Ebay and Amazon fulfill orders electronically through one account and see if currency trading can get close to their systems.

Dear Mr Hawthorne, thank you for your review and feedback. In fact it is not necessary to sign and scan/fax the contract note, and perhaps we should make that clearer - an email instructing onward payment is fine, and in fact if we are sending funds to an account you have sent to before, we hold the details on file and a verbal instruction to use the same as previous will suffice. We are also looking at electronic signature systems for future development. Thank you for pointing this out and we will try to make the above clearer to clients in the future. Regards, Robin Haynes.

I found this way of sending money to France was easy to understand and reasonably priced. I particularly liked the way in which I could easily talk to my named broker on the telephone and everything was handled very efficiently. J Chester.

After talking to your adviser, asking if it were possible that the euro could go up a bit more from 1.27 against the pound, I was told it was very unlikely, so I booked the transaction. Within a week the euro had gone to 1.33. Very disappointing to say the least. Not very good advice.

Dear Mr Whitbread, thank you for the feedback; unfortunately the actions of the Swiss National Bank last month were completely unprecedented and unanticipated across the market. While we always try to give an honest and forthright opinion when asked by clients, unfortunately there is no crystal ball and the depreciation of the Euro in January was a shock to everybody. Sorry that this affected your transaction and that a better rate would have been available in hindsight. Regards, Robin Haynes.
