“Constantly hassling me with unwanted sales calls. Never knowingly given them permission to use my personal data, never done any business with them, but still they keep calling. Will go to the Information Commissioner’s Office if it continues.”

Good morning - your were formerly in touch with Halo Financial, who have unfortunately ceased trading. Under the supervision of the FCA we acquired their client book so that those clients were able to continue to receive the service they depend on, uninterrupted. We communicated this to you via email in July, which I can see you have opened, and therefore presumably read. We have since called you a total of three times to introduce ourselves and to see if we can help, but you have declined to answer those calls. Thanks for now letting us know that you are not interested in our service. We will of course ensure no further calls or contact are attempted. But I hope you can now understand why we have attempted to call you - it was purely to try and help you. The poor review seems unnecessary given the circumstances and we would appreciate you removing it. All the best.

“Ashley Finill has been supporting us with our transaction. He has been amazing always on the ball, answering any queries that we have and really making sure everything runs smoothly. We are happy with the service and he is doing a great job. Also Nikki has been a big supporter. They are there when you need them. They provide us with excellent services and truly helpful and can answer all out questions. I/we are pleased with the dedicated staff who makes things happen behind the scenes”

He had an excellent knowledge of the bank we were using and ensured that no charges were levied when the funds arrived in Spain. “I would definitely recommend using A Place in the Sun Currency. The service really is first class. My main contact was Ashley Finill (and occasionally Tom Arnold). I received regular calls and responses to anything I needed & this was always by return. It can be a slightly anxious time purchasing a house in another country. Having Ashley as my personal contact made a big difference in giving me confidence on the currency and transfer of funds process. They also helped me in resolving a query being raised by my Notaire just 2 days before the signing. Again they pulled out the stops and provided me with what I needed same day. Great stuff!”

“Customer services is second to none, could not deal with anyone more helpful and efficient. We transferred the money and it was where is was meant to be in the time frame that they said it would be.
