Delivery is good but one of the fabrics that I ordered was not cut very well at all, it was creased very badly and therefore when it came to cutting the length required it was not at all acurate.

Hello Linda, I am sorry that one of the fabrics was not cut very well and was creased. I can see you ordered three different fabrics from us, if you would like to let us know which fabric this was, I will pass this feedback to the staff and the rest of the shop team. I have issued a part refund to your account for the equivilant of a 1/4m of fabric for you to allow for the cutting error. The products and delivery are good as far as I can tell. But as a novice to sewing, it was not clear to me that the mini charms packs were so small. I bought them for my daughter to do a Dike if Edinburgh project and they are. It suitable, I need the bigger ones so will have to re-order. At the point of purchase it would be helpful to have items which are appropriately to work together so that complete beginners have some idea of what they are doing, otherwise it’s quite a daunting array of information to make sense of.

Instructions for completion of advent calendar were not right. There was no dotted line on panel to match with dotted lines on pockets. I have made advent calendars before so I was able to complete satisfactorily.

Hi Wendy I am sorry to hear that you are yet to receive your order. I can see it was despatched with Royal Mail Tuesday 28th November. Sadly, there have been 2 more strike days since then on 30th November, and 1st of December. It is on its way to you albeit slower than we are used to, I am very sorry about that. Can’t really give a fair review as I’m still yet to receive my order. Been inform it is on its way but held up due to Royal Mail strikes.

Normally I would have given 5. But now no coffee or toilet facilities we have spent considerably less a good look round, coffee then spend but as mature ladies we have had to go elsewhere for facilities and leave sooner than we would like. Otherwise a brilliant shop covering all your patchwork needs. And fantastic variety of materials.

This item is a special order item with a lead time of up to 10 working days, however I can see that it arrived with you on day 11, so was later than expected, I am sorry about that. The items arrived very quickly however the items (Shelly and Sid Creative Grids quilting rulers) were described on the website as being suitable for long arm and domestic sewing machines but it should have been clear that where it stated it was suitable for domestic machines it was for high shank domestic machines! I don't believe the company are deliberately misleading but other companies selling quilting rulers indicate clearly if it's suitable for a high or low shank domestic machine. So I feel I've wasted £55 as I have a low shank domestic machine.

Hi Fiona, we are sorry to hear you are disappointed with your purchase. The rulers are universal, its the ruler work feet for a machine that are specific as either high or low shank, so as long as this is correct for your machine, then the rulers should work as intended. Thought I was supposed to get a discount for buying more but it didn’t appear in the final amount and when I sent email asking about it got no reply! Will not be shopping with them again

Hi Jacqui, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our service. I have checked and can see a reply to your email was sent not long after you contacted us last Monday, it may be worth checking your spam or junk folders in case it has ended up in there. Our same fabric bulk buy discount applies to multiples of the same fabric, the more units of a fabric you by the lower the price becomes. I can see from your order that you ordered small quantities of lots of different fabrics, which is why you have not seen any discount applied. I hope that helps explain it. Kind regards, Anna

I'm sorry I am not able to write a proper review yet as I haven't had time to use it. My daughter Lucinda kindly funded it for me and I look forward to using it. I bought a sewing machine and I chose Sewing Studio because they offered next day delivery and I urgently needed the machine, my old one having burnt out. Although most of my experience was fine, the final step - delivery of the machine the next day - was not fine and I didn't receive it until the day after that.

We are so sorry that your machine did not arrive with you when you were expecting it. We did despatch the same day your order was placed, on a next day service with our courier, however it seems for reasons beyond our control, they were not able to meet this service but was delivered the following day. We hope you are having fun getting to know your new machine :)

No problems with the delivery. Love the fabric. But lost several inches straightening up the edges where it had been hacked off the bolt.

Many thanks for taking to time to leave us a review. I can see that you have some Moda 108” wide fabric. These are supplied on a bolt where the fabric is folded 4 times, sadly this means there is some unevenness to it. For this reason, we always overcut the lengths so you at least have what you ordered, but there will inevitably be some straightening up to do. Despite this, the 108” wide fabrics are great for backing large quilts without having a join.
