“I haven't used your site before to bur fabrics. I was very impressed by your range of fabrics and the speed of your service. I was delighted when watching one of your You Tube videos, that taught how to mitre corners on binding. I haven't ever managed this in my quilt making and my 'bodged' corners rather let down my work. After watching this clear and very helpful video, I feel I could definately do it right!!”

“After watching a free video by Katrina (thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed it) I purchased a Moda charm pack which arrived on time and which easily fit through my letterbox (a refreshing change to some online suppliers who insist on sending the smallest item in the biggest cardboard box they can find)”

“Sewing machine arrived on Tuesday.Wednesday I contacted them to report that the needle threader was misaligned and wouldn’t draw the thread through the needle only to be told that it wasn’t under warranty and I would have to purchase a new one . Unbelievable.Nick Dorset”

Hi Nick I'm sorry you are having trouble with the needle threader. They are great devices however also very easy to break as the tiny hook needs to line up exactly with the eye of the needle. What commonly happens is using the needle threader when the needle is not in the right position, the tiny hook hits the shank of the needle and bends out of position, or the eye of the needle is too small - size 10 or lower, or the combination of thick thread and small needle can also be a bit much for the hook. We recommend doing the following: 1. Begin with changing the needle for a new one, when you change the needle, ensure it's pushed all the way up inside the needle block before you tighten up the needle clamp screw. 2. Bring the needle to the correct position for using the needle threader, referring to the manual if needed. To rule out thread being the problem, if you have any Gutermann or similar quality thread to hand that would be best. Fingers crossed if you follow these instructions the problem will be solved. If not, the likelihood is that the hook is bent or damaged and will need replacing. In which case let us know (sales@thesewingstudio.co.uk) and we’ll pop a replacement in the post. Best wishes Anna

“As ever SS offer great quality and a generous cut for the going price . It’s fast turnaround from selection to delivery so fast that tge post office don’t even realise they’ve handled them . Being a true quilter I always start in the sale section however I ended up in new stuff for MIL quilt. My only critique would be having a scale so we can see what size a print is . I’ve never been unhappy with Ss they have best selection and whilst maybe not the cheapest they do have plenty of stock so tr not going to get to end of order and find yr missing half . Arrives safely and well secured in one of their super tough highly distinctive mail bags - an excellent gem for those who love/need to online shop .”
