“Green motion car hire was perfectly efficient and staff pleasant. You need to be aware that they are at the Holiday Inn hotel on the side of the M4 and the bus transport there and back is sporadic and fairly slow, perfectly fine if you give yourself enough time. The company should make this clear.”

I used this service as it advised me that the car I was booking was under a mile away for collection. Once order confirmed, they actually sent me to the place that I would have gone to otherwise that was cheaper but was over 2 miles away to pick up the car.
Waste of time and pointless service”
“The site was easy to use and I got the best price I could find as a young driver seeking an automatic vehicle. On collection of the car, there was an under staffed garage with lots of customers waiting for the lady Donna in Nottingham was very helpful and did her best to serve us all as best she could under all of the stress. My car was great, an automatic with all the latest tech specs I needed and a very smooth drive.

“Hiring cars is a minefield and 121 helps the process considerably. One of the best aspects is the free cancellation process. Often when the conditions of contract are received from the car supplier it turns out to be not such a good deal so you can cancel and start again. Sounds a bit negative but 121 is a really good support in the process. Above all read the contract and look especially at fuel conditions; and whether the car supplier reserves the excess amount on your card or actually charges the amount and refunds it later!!!!”

“The price included a zero damage excess (unusual for South Africa), which made the price and hire attractive. It didn't include windscreen or glass damage but that is usually a cheap add-on at the rental desk. The booking stated that this was a hire where you pay for a full tank of fuel upfront and are expected to bring the car back empty, but in fact the process is that they fill the tank on return and bill you for what is used at pump prices - excellent. Both collection and return were efficient, with little delay and the car suited our requirements. On this basis I would recommend First Car Hire.”
