Works brilliantly and easy to setup. I don't find the fan that noisy but then it has barely come and and the pi is in a cabinet under the stairs

This PoE hat is truly the best addon hardware i have spent my money on. Not oonly is it super simple to use and install but it has made my Pi cluster easier to manage and neater. I now only have one cable going to each Pi. Yes i have a PoE switch but then most switches come with PoE now-a-days. It had a massive bonus of lowering my CPU temps on the Pi4 by 20+ degrees. I am now running under 50 deg on a hot day where before i was topping out just over 70. I will order one for every Pi i have at home.

Excellent little board that works exactly as it should and nice small form factor. It would be good if a set of pass through pins could be included in the box to extend the GPIO header through the board. They can't cost much and it would leave the Pi ready for the next board - PoE is only power, so you'd still expect to put another board on top.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. I actually have a spare having moved one of my Pis where only WiFi is available, and whilst I could plug it on to my Pi4, my PoE switch is only 100MB/s whilst at the moment it's getting 1GB/s from a separate switch. I don't want to sacrifice the network speed on the Pi4 (it serves a lot of stuff on my homes network), so I guess I'll keep the spare in reserve for the moment.

POE works so far but it is so noisy I had to spend endless hours faffing about, adjusting boot configuration and finally solder a new fan on the unit. Even on its slowest speed the fan could be heard behind closed doors and given I was using this ceiling mounted as a home controls system it was unacceptable. The software configs dont solve the problem as a fan being on is a necessity given the lack of air circulation with the poe mounted above the pi. In summary ok electronics, unacceptable product engineering.

Great way to reduce the number of wires and power sources to run my projects.

Works great with the 3 B+ providing reliable power. At room temperature it runs quite warm and the fan comes on for a bit ever minute or two. The fan is audible so I wouldn't use this in a quiet space with people. I've installed it in a DC monitoring air temperature (fan noise doesn't matter) and it's been up and stable on PoE for 10 days now.

No problems, fitted easily thought had to use my own spacers to fit box - needed spacer with male thread on side and female on other. Fan noisy when running but doesn’t run all the time and keeps Pi cooler than before. Using with Ubiquiti US-8-150W and is shown taking about 3W (3B+ and USB HDD) Low profile so fitted in my case without case modification.
