This is a great device to help you run a pi on a network without having to worry about mains power. You can also power cycle the device using PoE on the network switch if it supports it. Just make sure you order a suitable case, if not you will simply have to cut a square out of the case you have if it is not perforated, see pic.

Really like having the tidier setup of PoE, but the fan is quite loud (even with curve customization) and there is some very noticeable high pitched whine (the capacitors maybe?). Probably fine if you have it tucked away, or in a project box/cupboard, but it was much for the wife to cope with out in the open.

The product works as expected. I am glad to have managed to obtain the required quantity in these difficult times. Thanks!

PoE worked out of the box but took a bit of troubleshooting to get the fan working. Since the PoE raises the temperature of the system quite a bit this was important. Latest Pi firmware and a couple of tweaks to Overlay and everything now working perfectly though.

This is great way to power a pi, the only thing to remember is that you cant use any other HAT.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. I did have an issue with one of the four hats I purchased, which was solved by a seamless support incident that sorted me a replacement really quickly.

Wanted a POE HAT that was not permanently on as the device is running a WIFI access point/VPN in a living area. This ticks the box and at a price point on a par with the non Raspberry products. The Pi hut was a good find for me.
